This was the only cable that worked. I bought 3 cables from apple but none of them worked. I called Eizo, a high end Monitor for Photographers and this is what they told me to get. Works like a charm. Very hard to find though. I googled this type of wire but nothing came up. Great Company, needs to be easier to find.

Didn't work properly with my Intel NUC. The connection to the monitor was intermittent and would constantly disconnect and reconnect. I have since tried an adapter from a different manufacturer which works perfectly.

Seems built well, but won't work with my 2016 13-inch Macbook Pro with Touchbar and a Dell 2007FPb 1600x1200 monitor. The monitor shows my Macbook screen but flickers horribly.
