I purchased the 12x12cm size. I've been using it for about a week so far, and I'm really enjoying it. The size is perfect to travel with. I've used gouache, colored pencils, ink, tombow (WC and ink), collage, and copics. As others have said, alcohol markers will bleed. This doesn't bother me, I use a very thin scrap piece of leather a friend (who works with leather) gave me as a blotter in between pages. On the back pages where I've used markers, I either gesso it and paint on the back or I make homemade stickers and place them on the back. For those who have page color preference, please note that the pages in this book have a much more pronounced cream color to them (not a deal breaker for me, but may be for others). I use this for bullet journaling. I love this brand for bujo because I write with dark ink and it never bleeds. It's got a bookmark and elastic closure which is great for traveling with it. It takes some getting used to writing without lines or dots but it's worth it for how nice the art therapy pages and creative spreads look between written entries. I wish there was an option to have numbered pages.

My new favourite pocket sized sketchbook. Great paper with the perfect grain. Perfect for everyday or travelling! I have 4 of these and love them all! Highly reccomend. Great for drawing/sketching with no bleeding through pages.

An excellent small sketchbook. High quality, heavy paper which can hold various mediums. I use itto practice mark making and exploring new ideas. These were my first flowers in acrylic paints. Highly recommend.
I love this sketchbook - good for watercolor, even acrylics occasionally. Fairly durable. The paper weight is fantastic, and markers barely bleed through. Only issue is that ink from my dip pens and fountain pens feather slightly on it - that is the only reason I gave 4 stars.
This was my first time using a Talens Art Creations sketch book. I truly enjoy it! I use the 4.7 × 4.7 size in a travel kit with gouache. It is the perfect size for my kit and for painting horizontal landscape on 2 pages or a smaller painting one page. The paper handles the gouache very well. I did try a posca pen on it and the paper balled up if I went over a line twice. But since I use mainly gouache, colored pencils and inktense in this sketch book I am fine with that. I see why people have reccommended these sketch books. They are affordable and similar to Moleskine. The paper is a lower gsm than Moleskine, but still works well. Great for daily use.
I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of these journals. They remind me of another well known journal that has been used for years that starts with "M".... but I digress. The paper is a bit off white/ivory.. but I actually like that... The paper is not too thin, and not too thick and will hold light washes of watercolor with just a little buckle that actually does not bother me at all. Color pencil works great. For the price, these are hard to beat. I really like the small square size, and purchased several. When open, works well for landscape drawing/painting. I'm glad I gave them a try.. and will purchase more in the future.
Great paper..markers don't bleed thru..accepts watercolor, little warping even with wet washes. I really like these little pocket sized sketchbooks
I've used dozens of sketchbooks in my life. This one is durable. The paper is just the right amount of stiffness. Although it is not advertised as a mixed-media journal, I use it with watercolors, gouache, oil paint, ink, and pencils, and haven't had a problem.
I figured I would go ahead an try these given the price, and I am not disappointed! I bought two of the smallest ones, and they're so much fun for experimenting with new techniques or supplies. They also have pretty thick paper, and while I haven't tried my Copics on them yet, I think they'll be able to handle them better than other sketchbooks I've purchased. I truly love these little books, and they've become my favorite sketchbooks to revisit my old work! #sweepstakes
