Have repainted half a 4bed house with this rubbish & had nothing but issues. Patchy, needs 1000 coats, was previously white anyway but still needing going over multiple times, very thin and runny, doesnt cover up well, ceiling just drinks it up and then one room has some weird mottling like it went on too thick! Thought it was our technique, the room temp, the rollers, couldnt find any relevant solution online to explain what we are doing wrong.Have just swapped to Tradex to do the rest of the house (house was originally painted in 2003) and even though it is still Taubmans brand, it is much thicker, more opaque, covers up 200x better and have just painted the main loungeroom & architraves with 2 coats and its come up perfect, no lines, opaque white and still at a ... MoreHave repainted half a 4bed house with this rubbish & had nothing but issues. Don't waste your money on Easy Coat, you'll save $10 a can but have to buy extra litres & spend twice the time doing it!

This paint is crap it's almost as runny as water and has terrible coverage. If you want to paint your ceilings three times to get a decent finish, then this paint is for you. If you want 1 coat for most repaints or two coats for proper coverage over bare gyprock you need Hadrian or dulux enviro. The dulux ceiling paint bunnings sells doesn't cover well either.

As others before me have said the paint consistency is very runny. It took at least 3-4 coats to cover a pre-painted ceiling and even now it is still patchy. I thought it was our painting technique but changing rollers and paint brushes did not help.Avoid unless like you like wasting time doing 4 coats. Spend a bit extra on a premium paint

Absolutely rubbish paint! Very bad coverage and not even white! I was very disappointed we had to go and buy a premium paint for the right white and coverage. This was a total waste of money. I asked the Bunnings paint person for a good quality thick ceiling paint and this is what they advised - said it was very similar to the more expensive paints and really good quality - NOT!
Being open minded to listen to Bunnings advice I was lead to believe this was a great product. After 5 house renovations I feel almost experienced enough to comment. In house reno number 6 I ended up rolling 3 coats of paint in the same bedroom but found it extremely difficult to see where I had been, luckily I segmented the room with a level laser to ensure I thoroughly completed the painting using a quality roller but the finish was disappointing - I was left with an obvious patchwork quilt finish after drying, very blotchy. Will attempt to spray a final fourth coat with my airless spray gun as it is impossible to roll on. An extremely expensive and time consuming exercise. Come on guys, at these prices you charge this stuff should apply itself.
This paint initially thick in tin to mix, then quickly had less consistency. Using either natural or synthetic brushes, it would not hold in the brush spend a lot of time cleaning up drips. Even with a lambswool roller dripped out. If you are a novice, do not buy this or you will give up on painting forever, get a one coat ceiling paint. Terrible coverage, 2ltrs for two 3x4 bedroom ceilings.
I used a can of Taubmans Easycoat ceiling paint on my kitchen ceiling, after the second coat. Even though I still had some left I went and purchased a different brand to do a third. It is also a very thin paint causing lots of splatter. In it's defense I have used it before with satisfaction but on a much whiter ceiling that had been recoated not as long before.
To be fair I wouldn’t have given it 1 star but you have to. A mix of chalk and water would do a better job. Quite honestly the worst paint I have ever used. Trying to paint the cornice first but can barely put any on the brush as it drips everywhere so watery and because it’s so chalky there’s no glide. It’s going to take forever doing 2 inches at a time. No cover either so it’s going to take at least 4 coats. Can’t honestly see how you can even use this on a roller it’s so watery. Yes I have stirred it very well. Do yourself a favour buy something else. Made a big mistake buying this and I stupidly bought taubmens ultimate enamel for doors and trims at the same time, after 3 useless coats went with a better brand. Never this brand again.
This paint is the worst paint I've ever used it's like water itDrips and runs everywhere, the coverage is awful I've put on 2Coats and it still looks like it needs another coat, I'm so annoyedThey recommended this product to me I'm going to take it backI want a refund, terrible terrible paint.
Excellent value for money ceiling paint that is easy to apply, covers relatively well. Needs to be well mixed (I used a drill and mixer). Added bonus of having anti-mold additive mixed in already. Worth the slight price increase over the low level ceiling paints, and worthwhile saving from using the Ensure range of paint.
