This is terrible paint. Thin and doesn't cover. I've needed three coats so the (light) underneath colour doesn't show through and it still isn't quite right. I'll never know if a fourth coat makes it look any better because I'm not going to bother even trying!I have wasted so much money on several tins of this paint (different colours), and now I need to spend more money on another brand so I can finish the job.

Very annoyed. Bought this product in April to paint my lounge room and two coats were sufficient to cover the existing cream colour on the walls. Bought this exact same paint last week (end of July) for my very small 3 x 3 spare room (same cream colour) and even with 3 coats it’s still not looking great. Taubmans must be watering their cheaper paint down to make more sales. Wld hv been more cost effective to buy the Dulux paint in the end. Not a happy camper.

It does flow out nicely and I like the plastic bucket. However, I did find that the opacity wasn't as good as taubmans endure. Definitely needed two coats whereas endure can possibly get by with just one (making endure better value). Tinted to cotton ball.

I'm not a pro by any means and I don't usually write reviews but this paint definitely warrents it. As a diy point of view, this paint is difficult to work with. It's so thin, almost like water. Maybe that's the point of this paint, but this consistency makes it hard to apply a decent layer of paint.Apply it with a brush (for cutting) becomes drip central especially painting overhead, it deceives you into thinking you only need to apply it thinly to avoid all the dripping but when it dries it barely covers anything. I managed to apply it thick enough to mean anything, but holy cow did it drip.I constantly had to keep and eye out for run off and drips forming. Ignore it and it dries like that. I found that I had cake my roller with it to have any meaning coverage ... MoreI'm not a pro by any means and I don't usually write reviews but this paint definitely warrents it. I found that I had cake my roller with it to have any meaning coverage which then makes it rain paint as you roll, even going slowly. It can be avoided by lessening how much is on your roller but the you have to go over it over and over again to have any meaningful coverage. All that being said. It's not impossible to get good results with this but I found it to be the most difficult paint I have used to date. I would not recommend to fellow diyers, especially if you don't have much experience.
Being a painter by trade I have been painting with Taubmans Easycoast all walls paint for over 15yrs now. The new “Formula” paint has changed dramatically, paint is very thin and watery. It’s like painting with water colour paints.Painting any walls over with very light neutral whites or off whites should be easy to cover, this is not the case, one coat looks good for about 20mins until it dries, the paint seems to evaporate leaving the walls look like you never painted it at all.Painting a small room should take under 4l but this new Formula will take about 6l and 4-5 coats which is a joke. Yes the old and new walls had been pre prepped before painting. This extra time wastes mine and the customers time. The old formula Taubmans wall paint was good but this “new ... MoreBeing a painter by trade I have been painting with Taubmans Easycoast all walls paint for over 15yrs now. Bravo Bunnings/Taubmans, you've out did yourself! I was in the market for a paint to go over a white wall and as I enjoy painting so much I was sad at the prospect of completing the small task in a short period. Luckily Taubmans Easy coat is their most weak watered down paint yet! And I was provided hours of thrilling recoats of which wouldn't have been required with even a mid decent quality paint. Thanks again for another fantastic product Bunnings.
Should have read the reviews before I bought 15 litres. Absolute rubbish. Thin and watery like everyone else says. Yep it’s EASY coat as it’s so thin but we needed 3 coats. Painting a whole 4 bed house internally. We are gutted about the third coat.Pay a tiny bit extra
I bought this about 3 months ago, luckily it was only one can as I was/am painting an entire house, even with the Taubmans 3 in one primer/sealer underneath the easy coat ceases to amaze with how bad of a finish it gives. Rolling it slowly, and being super careful not to squish the watery liquid onto the wall marginally helps.Cutting with feathering also came up patchy. Honestly just go with a different paint you won't regret it
I recently purchased this in the "accent base".This paint has been an absolute nightmare! I have used 4L in a small laundry and I still have to keep going! I will be purchasing dulux to do the last coat/coats. I have applied 4 coats already! The paint has the consistency of food colouring added to water! It dries soooo patchy!! The problem is because it's so thin when you roll over your roller line to even the coat out you remove some of the paint which is normal but because it's so thin it basically removes the whole layer leaving it with some thicker coats and some thinner ones. Do yourself and your wallet a favour and pay the little extra and get Dulux!
Have used plenty of other paints including Dulux, Wattyl and Taubmans Pro without issue but Easycoat is absolutely terrible. Consistency is like water, even in very thin coats it doesn't stick to the wall. I really don't know how an established paint maker can stuff this up so badly. Not fit for any type of painting job, worse than even the no name paint. Avoid at ALL costs, complete waste of time and money. Zero stars
