Milled ribs positioned between the full grooves add texture to the face and are designed for increased spin and improved performance on partial shots around the green. The larger ZTP RAW Grooves feature radii further engineered for optimal spin in various conditions. Full length scoring lines on wedges of 54' and higher help generate spin around the green when the face is rotated open on shorter shots. The Hi-Toe 3 design is taller in the toe area (66mm) and is engineered to create better spin and launch results. The added weight pad in the toe area helps move the center of gravity closer to the middle of the face to further optimize launch and spin with premium feel. RAW Face Technology is designed for increased spin and feel with sharper, narrower and deeper grooves in the face, as well as laser etched precision. The face rusts over time, preserving spin properties and providing a time-honored look preferred by many Tour professionals. Made from a soft 8620 carbon steel, Milled Grind wedges ensure precision where it matters most. The milling process maximizes consistency, crafting each sole for repeatable performance and turf interaction, obtaining tolerance levels difficult for a human to repeat.

AMAZING WEDGE

Fantastic club! I was hesitant to buy the copper color, but man I am so glad I did. The color adds so much character to the bag and it looks great on the course. Highly recommend the copper over a traditional stainless-steel look. The Club itself is a game changer, the high toe is a must and something I will continue to purchase moving forward. The full club face grooves are key for any player at any level. With full length grooves it gives you the ability to miss the sweet spot and still get your desired outcome and spin. I would highly recommend this club to anyone. The control around the greens is incredible as well. Cannot speak enough about this wedge.

Bought a 56.10 and have a 60.10 already. Love the full face grooves. Inspires confidence. Great spin too. Only complaint is why doesnt the <56 degree Hi-Toes not have full face grooves. That's the main selling point of the line and they don't have them. I want to buy a 52 degree to complete my 52/56/60 set but havent because the 52 won't be full face.

This was one of three clubs I bought for my very first purchase. I was using a friend’s old 60 and wanted to have my own. This club has been worth every single penny. I am fairly new to golf, so I needed all the help I can get. I would recommend this club to anyone. It came brand new, so it was wrapped appropriately. I couldn’t be happier with this club and how fast it was delivered. I will be using globalgolf for many more future purchases.

Maybe losing a star because of my shaft choice
4 August 2023

60/10 with Project X IO (6.0) shaft. So far, after ~100 shots with it, the copper coating hasn't started coming off as other reviewers noted (my approach shots are crap, so I end up using it more than I probably should). I have played a couple rounds in very wet, rainy conditions, and it's maybe starting to rust already; not an issue, just noting. More spin that I was expecting, I hit what I thought was a great shot from the fairway onto the middle of the green from 85 yds out; I was expecting (hoping) it would bounce forward a bit and just spin back a little to about where it landed, but it spun back about 40 feet to the edge (flat green). Seeing good spin out of the rough, but not as much as from the fairway with a clean hit. Initial launch seems about the same ... More60/10 with Project X IO (6.0) shaft. Seeing good spin out of the rough, but not as much as from the fairway with a clean hit. Initial launch seems about the same (perhaps slightly lower) as my 54 Vokey, but with the extra spin, it climbs a bit more and the descent is much steeper. My only complaint is that it feels a little "thick," not sure how else to describe it. I've tried this wedge with a stock shaft before and I liked the feel, but just needed a slightly stiffer shaft. TaylorMade was offering a deal on the Project X IO shaft, so I went with that (6.0 stiffness). I had seen that shaft online before, but never in person and I had never tried it, but I was curious, so I went with it. I'm pretty sure that's the feel from the shaft. Haven't thrown it on a scale yet, but I suspect the swing weight is closer to D4 than the D5 advertised.

My preferred wedge among a lot of good options
15 November 2022

I recently purchased a 56.10° Hi-Toe 3 wedge after having lost a Titleist Vokey with the same loft. I already had a 50.9° as my gap wedge. After a few sessions at the range and a couple of rounds I have to say that the Hi-Toe is even better than the Vokey. The balance is excellent and it is a little lighter and easier to swing. The bounce seems to be just right for the courses I play in south Texas where the turf tends to be a little thin around the greens and the sand is fine but usually a little compacted - not coarse and fluffy as you would encounter further north. I love the look of these brass finished wedges, they really stand out in my bag. My 50° Hi-Toe has become my go-to wedge around the greens and pull out the 56° when I am in a tight situation. Need to replace A-wedge in your M4 set? THIS ONE!
25 August 2023

In 2018, my pal JP and I were in Vegas at a conference and found ourselves with 9 hours to fill before flying home. Las Vegas National was the closest course to Uber from our hotel, so we confirmed a tee time and got to the course. We didn't have our sticks, and the course demo sets were Taylormade M2s. I was playing Titleist AP710s at the time. Fell in love with the A-wedge! Got home and had Dave Doty, my club pro, order me a set of M4s. A-wedge is my favorite in the bag, and I've worn the groves beyond revival so needed to replace it. Did a chat with Taylormade Rep (Michael, I think) who recommended this club. Hitting this better, with higher lofted shots and the ball is easier to spin. Customized 2-up plus 1-inch longer. No Ribbing or Full Face Grooves Under 54°!
3 July 2024

Extremely disappointed with TaylorMade. Nowhere on the page for Hi-Toe 3 Chrome Wedge does it say that clubs under 54° do not have the full face grooves and ribbing. That information is shown on the Copper Wedge page, but that's not helpful when you ordered the Chrome. I ordered the 50° thinking it would look like what's on the Chrome Wedge page, but that's not the case. The grooves don't cover the full face and the ribbing isn't there either. Embarrassing for such a reputable company.

Stop!
16 October 2023

Once you get past the look of the grooves and slightly larger head and after putting in a few rounds with them, you'll begin to appreciate why you bought these in the first place. Like others have mentioned, you can get some pretty decent spin on these. I've hit Cleveland, Titleist and Bettinardi wedges - all great, but these are different in a good way!I am gaining more confidence in hitting these with an open face with an outside/in swing knowing that if I'm slightly off center, I'll still get it up and out; I can see this in ball flight.I have the 52, 56 & 60. Just be aware that the 52* does NOT have the full face grooves (you probably won't attempt to hit it with a wide open face like the other higher lofts). If you're looking to try wedges for more spin ... MoreOnce you get past the look of the grooves and slightly larger head and after putting in a few rounds with them, you'll begin to appreciate why you bought these in the first place. TOOK A SHOT ON THIS TOUR GRIND AND NOW PLEASED
9 May 2023

Took a total shot in the dark on this tour grind in the vault. My previous gamer was the rtx full face so I’m familiar with the full face high toe wedges even tho the Cleveland did not have a big high toe profile like this. But my grooves were wearing and was in the market for a new wedge. Not being able to try it and just go by pictures was a bit risky but from descriptions stating the highlights of a sharper lower sitting leading edge intrigued me. Even tho it had a higher bounce than the low bounce version I know from experience that it’s a relative number and I can tell that the leading edge sits way lower to the ground when open than the low bounce version when I tried it at a store. So I’m pretty pleased that I took a chance on it and if that’s what you’re ... MoreTook a total shot in the dark on this tour grind in the vault. Major downside is that there’s no option to customize so if the shaft and grip don’t fit then you have to built to your spec like I did.

Workable, forgiving and a backspin machine
14 September 2023

I’ve been looking for a “do it all” wedge and finally have found it with the Hi-Toe 3 from Taylormade. Ive tested plenty of other wedges over the years (including Titleist, Callaway, Cleveland, and Mizzuno). I’ve realized I’m carrying fat too many wedges than necessary and thus I’ve been on the hunt for a wedge that can accomplish each of my situational shots inside of 100 yards. The high toe is GREAT in the bunker, around the green, and high flop shots due to the extra surface area on the club face. I can open the face confidently with this club, knowing the high toe will catch my ball, even if the impact is sub optimal. Squared shots, neutral positions, you name it - the mg3 high toe can reliably get the job done.
