TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 Chrome Wedge

Introducing the new TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 Wedges, designed for increased spin, precision and feel whether you’re taking full swings on your approach or playing finesse shots around the green. Made from a soft 8620 carbon steel, Milled Grind wedges ensure precision where it matters most. The milling process maximises consistency, crafting each sole for repeatable performance and turf interaction, obtaining tolerance levels difficult for a human to repeat. The Hi-Toe design is taller in the toe area (66mm) and is engineered to create better spin and launch results. Full length scoring lines with the mid-to-higher lofts improve spin around the green when the face is rotated open on shorter shots. The added weight pad in the toe area helps move the center of gravity closer to the middle of the face to optimise launch and spin while providing premium feel. Milled ribs positioned between the full grooves add texture to the face and are designed for increased spin and improved performance on partial shots around the green. The larger ZTP RAW Grooves feature radii further engineered for optimal spin in various conditions. Multiple sole options for fitting include standard, low, and high bounce. Each one is optimised for improved turf interaction and bounce separation for certain swing types and playing conditions. Fitted as standard with the TaylorMade KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 shaft and the Lamkin Crossline 360 grip.

Best wedge I ever bought.Other than my putter, I use it more frequently than anything else in my bag. Well balanced. Love the grip. The wedge face has a large sweet spot contacts area. Very forgiving. Shots check up nicely.

Great Wedge, stronger lofts need Full Face Grooves

Bought a 56.10 and have a 60.10 already. Love the full face grooves. Inspires confidence. Great spin too. Only complaint is why doesnt the <56 degree Hi-Toes not have full face grooves. That's the main selling point of the line and they don't have them. I want to buy a 52 degree to complete my 52/56/60 set but havent because the 52 won't be full face.

I had ordered a Hi-Toe 56 degree wedge from the TaylorMade website using the personalized features. Have played only a few rounds with it an like it very much. So I ordered a 50 degree wedge which is a loft not available with personalized options. Upon receipt, I was surprised to see that the grove lines do not cut through the entire face like on the personalized version. Also the grip options were different so the two wedges do not match.

Hi-Toe = Confidence and playability
30 December 2023

Great wedge! I'm enjoying the full face groves and the Hi-Toe design. It gives me confidence. I thought it would take getting used to but right off the rip, my strikes were solid, dispersion was tight and backspin for me was slightly higher than the MG4. I'm very pleased with this 56° 10 Bounce wedge.

Light with performance that counts

Glad I made switch from glide. 58 out of sand is my go to. Can’t believe how these perform. Am a senior, 19 handicap on a TPC Course where traps and rough are challenging around greens. Switched to graphite as I carry my clubs and couldn’t be happier. Club had a demo unit available, and I was hooked. Purchased set of 3

No Ribbing or Full Face Grooves Under 54°!
3 July 2024

Extremely disappointed with TaylorMade. Nowhere on the page for Hi-Toe 3 Chrome Wedge does it say that clubs under 54° do not have the full face grooves and ribbing. That information is shown on the Copper Wedge page, but that's not helpful when you ordered the Chrome. I ordered the 50° thinking it would look like what's on the Chrome Wedge page, but that's not the case. The grooves don't cover the full face and the ribbing isn't there either. Embarrassing for such a reputable company.

Stop!

Once you get past the look of the grooves and slightly larger head and after putting in a few rounds with them, you'll begin to appreciate why you bought these in the first place. Like others have mentioned, you can get some pretty decent spin on these. I've hit Cleveland, Titleist and Bettinardi wedges - all great, but these are different in a good way!I am gaining more confidence in hitting these with an open face with an outside/in swing knowing that if I'm slightly off center, I'll still get it up and out; I can see this in ball flight.I have the 52, 56 & 60. Just be aware that the 52* does NOT have the full face grooves (you probably won't attempt to hit it with a wide open face like the other higher lofts). If you're looking to try wedges for more spin ... MoreOnce you get past the look of the grooves and slightly larger head and after putting in a few rounds with them, you'll begin to appreciate why you bought these in the first place. The classic is making a comeback

I heard a lot about this wedge popularity a few years ago and very excited about trying it since TM is bring it back. I ordered the 54 degrees with 3 degrees flat, I love the customization with the order on loft and lie variations. The wedge feels a little heavy which I love and it create lots of spin. The spin is manageable without too much side spin. It checked and release predictably and the results is wow. Live up to the hype.Would recommend to weekend hacker or low handicap players. Good call for TM to bring this wedge back into circulation.

This club helps my short game A LOT!

Got the 54 degree with 10 degree bounce. Really impressed with this club! Also - I used the TM concierge service - their professional recommendation was extremely helpful. Very forgiving, accurate club. Excellent spin. Excellent control. Best chip-n-putt option in my bag.

Workable, forgiving and a backspin machine
14 September 2023

I’ve been looking for a “do it all” wedge and finally have found it with the Hi-Toe 3 from Taylormade. Ive tested plenty of other wedges over the years (including Titleist, Callaway, Cleveland, and Mizzuno). I’ve realized I’m carrying fat too many wedges than necessary and thus I’ve been on the hunt for a wedge that can accomplish each of my situational shots inside of 100 yards. The high toe is GREAT in the bunker, around the green, and high flop shots due to the extra surface area on the club face. I can open the face confidently with this club, knowing the high toe will catch my ball, even if the impact is sub optimal. Squared shots, neutral positions, you name it - the mg3 high toe can reliably get the job done.
