TaylorMade's Hi Toe 3 wedge is designed for versatility. The milling process maximizes consistency for repeatable performance and enhanced turf interaction. The Hi Toe head design is taller in the toe for better launch, with full scoring lines to improve spin around the greens. Milled ribs between the full grooves are designed for increased spin and performance. Larger ZTP RAW grooves are engineered for optimal spin in various conditions.

I ordered the 56 and 60 about 2 months ago on pre-order, but I just took delivery about 2 weeks ago! I was immediately impressed. They just felt a lot more balanced than the Milled Grind 2s i used for the past year and a half, which I actually traded into Taylormade for credit towards this purchase. With all the grooves and micro-ribs this club is grippy. Very accurate and great spin near and off the greens. My new favorite clubs.

Follow up Review: I purchased the 60 Deg. 7 deg. Bounce to use on tight hard pan lies in Oklahoma. I am not disappointed. The cambered sole and low bounce allows me to open the face and easily hit of tight and hard pan lies. Does exactly what I wanted/needed. I like so much I will be replacing my 56 Deg. Wedge with the 56 Deg 10 Deg. Bounce as soon as my fitter gets some in. Also, never been a fan of full 60 Deg. Wedge shots but this wedge is easy to hit full shots with! These wedges are a must try.

Grooves all the way over and up work well in any condition. I went with the s300 DG shaft which is a lower launch. I have a high ball flight on everything so it it helps me keep the chip shots down. Which by some would still be considered high. I also have the MG3 with standard shaft that comes with its a Mid to High launch. Basically I had the MG3 54 and 58 degree eliminated those 2 and went with the 56 degree Hi Toe and can pretty much do everything I could with the 54 and 58 but combined them into one with the Hi Toe 56 degree. Flop shot is the only thing that I cant accomplish as well as I could with the 58. But the 56 allows me to give them a bit of roll. There more that goes into this but hope this helps someone else. I stopped in my local golf store and fitter I have worked with for years. I was wanting to add/replace my 60 deg. Wedge. Wanted one for tight hard pan lies with lower bounce and the ability to open for flop shots etc. around the green. Went in to look at Vokey and Callaway specifically. He asked if I had an aversion to Hi-Toe and I said no. He put a Hi-Toe 3 , 60 deg. 7 deg bounce in my hands. It set up beautifully for a tight square shot, a tight flop shot, etc. I do not think I ever have put a wedge in my hand that set up for everything I need and I felt I wasn’t sacrificing a particular shot due to the grind. Plus, the simplicity of the offering is less confusing. I went home and hit balls of the wooden floor, so me. I will do a follow up review once I get out and do some practice on the chipping green. Excited to do so.
Finally rid myself of my cheap Sand wedge and what a difference straight away, I notice a significant difference in spin. Playing one round I put two shots within 3 feet of the pin and the ball is sticking where it needs to. I also got the 52 degree gap wedge and have also noticed it plays really well also. Highly recommend these, playing shots around the green off the toe (with the SW) gives you so much more confidence to strike hard, but still create enough spin to not have the ball roll off the other side. I did change the grips on these though, I'm not a big fan of the stock grips, I like a tackier grip and I ended up getting the Golf Pride Tour Wrap (which I have on my LW) Jumbo, which has been an adjustment but way better than the stock grip. It was time for wedges. I was playing Cleveland wedges that were 20 years old. I got a 50* 54* 58*. The new wedges spin!! I love the copper finish but the 50* is already losing the finish. I contacted TM and they said it was from normal wear and tear. Well I understand that on the bottom of the club. But this is coming off on the face. Guess I’ll just deal with it. I am happy with all three other than the cosmetic issues.
I have always loved Taylormade fairway woods and drivers, but was always a Titleist or Ping iron and wedge guy. Well I can say with 100% honesty that those days are over! The new Taylormade Hi-Toe 3 wedges are just stellar. They have a similar if not better feel than the Vokey wedges that have been my go-to wedges for over 20 years now. I paired these up with the Taylormade p770 irons a few weeks ago and I will never go back! I am a moderate/fast swing low/mid handicap player, and all of the boxes get checked by these wedges—a controllable amount of spin on full swing and chip shots, great feel, and just an overall premium club. Thanks Taylormade!
I recently purchased a 56.10° Hi-Toe 3 wedge after having lost a Titleist Vokey with the same loft. I already had a 50.9° as my gap wedge. After a few sessions at the range and a couple of rounds I have to say that the Hi-Toe is even better than the Vokey. The balance is excellent and it is a little lighter and easier to swing. The bounce seems to be just right for the courses I play in south Texas where the turf tends to be a little thin around the greens and the sand is fine but usually a little compacted - not coarse and fluffy as you would encounter further north. I love the look of these brass finished wedges, they really stand out in my bag. My 50° Hi-Toe has become my go-to wedge around the greens and pull out the 56° when I am in a tight situation. Took a total shot in the dark on this tour grind in the vault. My previous gamer was the rtx full face so I’m familiar with the full face high toe wedges even tho the Cleveland did not have a big high toe profile like this. But my grooves were wearing and was in the market for a new wedge. Not being able to try it and just go by pictures was a bit risky but from descriptions stating the highlights of a sharper lower sitting leading edge intrigued me. Even tho it had a higher bounce than the low bounce version I know from experience that it’s a relative number and I can tell that the leading edge sits way lower to the ground when open than the low bounce version when I tried it at a store. So I’m pretty pleased that I took a chance on it and if that’s what you’re ... MoreTook a total shot in the dark on this tour grind in the vault. So I’m pretty pleased that I took a chance on it and if that’s what you’re looking for then I recommend to try it as well. Major downside is that there’s no option to customize so if the shaft and grip don’t fit then you have to built to your spec like I did.
I heard a lot about this wedge popularity a few years ago and very excited about trying it since TM is bring it back. I ordered the 54 degrees with 3 degrees flat, I love the customization with the order on loft and lie variations. The wedge feels a little heavy which I love and it create lots of spin. The spin is manageable without too much side spin. It checked and release predictably and the results is wow. Live up to the hype.Would recommend to weekend hacker or low handicap players. Good call for TM to bring this wedge back into circulation.
