This TCL television has the finest picture and detail I have ever seen on a TV.

The TCL 55QM751G is a smart QD-Mini LED TV that displays up to 4K. The TV provides plenty of connectivity and has 4 HDMI ports. The remote control is back lit which helps when watching TV at night. The picture quality out of the box on the TV is not the best. But with some minor calibration, the colors are displayed beautifully. HDR and SDR programs look very sharp and bright. The peak brightness on the HDR is good, which makes watching HDR programs visually appealing. This TV also supports Dolby Vision, which is my preferred viewing method for TV shows and movies. I do not have a gaming system hooked up to this TV, so I was not able to test the Game mode.Usually, speakers on these TVs are not the best. The bass-enhancing speaker in the back is not a gimmick as it provides some decent bass to the set.TCL pays attention when it comes to packaging materials for the protection of the TV. The shipping materials used are of good quality, which provided the TV with plenty of protection during shipping. This resulted in no damage to the TV.This is my first Mini-LED TV, and it won't be my last. Overall, this is a great TV, and TCL is doing a good job in establishing its brand as it competes with Sony, Samsung, LG, and others. I will definitely try out other TCL products in the future.

TCL 55” Q class 4K UHD…review:Setup: set up was easy. It’s recommended to use two people, but the TV was surprisingly light and easy to install the mount. It has a wireless connection that was easy to sign into through Google Home or manually using WEP id and password. The TV comes with Google TV so I signed in with my existing Google account and the system performed an update within 10 minutes.Appearance/design (of the TV itself): the design is sleek and feels sturdy. At its thickest point it’s about 3 inches deep. As stated earlier, it was pretty lightweight for a 55 inch TV.U/I and UX and smart features. Google TV, so simple to use and navigate. Easy to add apps I use(the TV prompted me to add apps like Disney+ etc). The remote is slim and very easy to use ... MoreTCL 55” Q class 4K UHD…review:Setup: set up was easy. There is minimal lag going from home to apps. The Home Screen has recommendations and recently watched programs for quick access.Video quality: I feel like the video quality is superb. It’s crisp and sharp with rich colors. The motion was fluid with no lagging. Everything was crystal clear. It seems to have automatically regulate the brightness based on the environment of the room. I did, however, find myself turning down the brightness when I watched a program at night in the dark. Audio: this would be my biggest complaint and why it didn’t get five stars. The sound isn’t great. There appears to be one speaker on the rear of the TV. Since my TV is backed up to the wall, the sound seems a bit muffled.Connections/ports: Ample connection ports. There are four HDMI ports of varying Hz(60-144). Two USB ports, ethernet, antenna, and an audio in an audio out( see picture).Overall: I highly recommend this TV, especially at the price point. I think this brand, from what I’ve read, is an up and coming TV brand and will continue to gain popularity.

This TV is absolutely amazing. I was honestly a little skeptical of TCL, but I was admittedly behind the times. I was expecting this to be a TV for my bedroom, but this has replaced my Samsung I had in the living room.First off, the TV is fast. My Samsung was very laggy, and apps used to freeze from time to time. Visio TVs are awful in that regard as well. This is the fastest TV I have ever used. The user experience is so smooth.Second, the picture is amazing. I think the only TV I have personally seen that beats it is an OLED Sony that costs many times more. And even then, it's marginal. I actually turned the color intensity down a little because they are so vibrant. The dynamic range and HDR is also the best I've seen on a non-OLED TV. I actually turned the color intensity down a little because they are so vibrant. The dynamic range and HDR is also the best I've seen on a non-OLED TV. Due to the local dimming and backlight panel, the darks are rich and deep.Sound wise, it's better than most. It does have a little "woofer" in it. That being said, if you want a full immersive sound, you will absolutely still want an external sound system.I have also been really enjoying the OS. Google TV has some neat features, like the ambient mode with art, and Google photos. As a bonus, the 120hz panel refresh rate is super smooth. As a gamer, having my secondary gaming PC that's hooked up to the TV be able to run at true 120hz is awesome. A lot of TVs that advertise 120hz are not a true 120hz panel like this is.Overall, this thing has really impressed me. I can't think of a single complaint or area that is lacking. I think I'll be a TCL buyer from here on out.
Decided to go ahead and purchase this during the sale to upgrade my TCL 55R615 (Which is still going strong and has been a fantastic set).I was a bit hesitant at first as I wanted to get the 851g, but figured I'd test this out first to see if it fulfilled my needs. It absolutely did!The color settings out of the box are acceptable, but I highly recommend playing around with them for each individual input/streaming service.PS5 looks fantastic when hooked up to the 120hz HDMI 2.1 port and is a huge upgrade visually! So far I've watched a few movies (mixture of drama, action, documentary) to test out different settings and all have been to my liking. I highly recommend adjusting the Motion settings as the "Soap Opera" effect on certain shows can be pretty extreme. If you decide to leave "Motion Smoothing" on - decreasing the "Judder Reduction" and "Blur Reduction" to between 2-4 from 10 helps tremendously. Otherwise Motion Smoothing can just be turned off.I tested the sound quality of the built in speakers for a bit, but soon after hooked up my surround system. The built in speakers are acceptable at best and an external system is recommended.
This TV provides amazing value for your dollar, especially when on sale. Take a little bit of time tweaking the picture settings for each dynamic range input (SDR, HDR10, Dolby Vision) and it will look amazing. Weakest point is probably in SDR content but that is expected. Movie mode with some tweaks to motion, clarity, and color looked best IMO. HDR and Dolby Vision look pretty good out of the box but can get better with some minor adjustments. The brightness is unbelievable and can fill a dark room with light. Flashlights and sirens look real with brightness turned up. Black levels are close to OLED but there are some scenes/scenarios that can cause some blooming. Bezels are very clean and minimal and the brushed edges look nice. Center stand is also a huge underrated benefit. Overall, is this TV as good as a LG or Sony OLED? No, but its about 90% there for less than 50% of the price.
I researched multiple brands of TVs for many months knowing that my time was limited on my 10 year old Vizio M70. When the old TV started failing to startup correctly and multiple attempts became the norm and I didn't want to wait until complete failure....so, I went back to my research. A Best Buy employee used the term "high end budget TV" when I was quizzing him about various brands and making some comparisons. I decided to purchase the TCL QM7 over the QM8 because the biggest difference was upgraded internal speakers and tuner/processor in the QM8. I already have SONOS 7.1 setup so I didn't need the speaker upgrade and I wasn't willing to pay the extra $500 just to get the tuner/processor upgrade. Also when compared to my 10 year old Vizio anything I purchased was sure to be an upgrade...and I was right.I first connected my AppleTV and continued to use the new TCL like I used my old Vizio like. a monitor (the Vizio was old enough that it did not support the majority of the streaming apps available today...hence the AppleTV. After a day of viewing pleasure I decided to setup the YouTube app that was available on the TCL to take advantage of the 120MHz refresh rate.I was please with my new TCL before I took the AppleTV out of the viewing equation. What I thought was a decent upgrade was quickly a night/day difference especially when streaming 4k content. Eliminating the inputs is definitely the way to go. Would an $5000 OLED TV be better than what the TCL QM7? Perhaps! but I got this on sale for just under $1000. I am very pleased with my TV and would, and have, recommended to a friend.
I wasn't sure about TCL since I've always been a Sony and Samsung loyal customer. But, money is not what it used to be and I wanted more bang for my buck. Well, I definitely got it! With this TV, you not only get some awesome options, you get a BRIGHT, beautiful screen! My PS5 games look COMPLETELY different from my old Samsung. Then, you get some GREAT sound as well! This is one of the best sounding TV's I've had the experience to listen to out of the box. The Best Buy delivery drivers dropped the edge of the box (which sucked) but the TV is still flawless. I have to say the detail, the brightness, the sound, and the EASE of setting this tv are amazing. If you are not familiar with TCL, give them a try. For the price, you cannot beat this amazing TV. If you get this TV, you will not be disappointed PLUS you still have some change to pay your electric bill! (and eat a meal lol)
I own a samsung 50 inch. Wanted better quality display, with a sub $1k budget. I was very skeptical about TCL build quality but eventually settled on the Q7 as it was on a steep discount.Ended up with the 65inch QM7 and am extremely impressed. The picture quality is noticeably better and a decent margin, even to the average eye. Blacks are very dark, closest to OLED i have personally seen. TV remote could be a bit shorter, also who uses pluto tv? they must be paying TCL quite a bit to have their button on the remote lol.Had to mess around with color a bit.Pros: Display (very sharp, colorful), very bright, sounds better than i thought a tv would, build quality seems high from initial 2 weeks of watching/ using.Cons: Remote could be cooler, glare (though i ... MoreI own a samsung 50 inch. I have never owned a TCL, though I have been intrigued by what I've heard about the brand over the past several years!Having watched the recognized TV reviewers review this model and brand, this thing certainly got my attention! I just got it home and this is no joke... it is way underpriced for what the get!I have tried to find even one thing that I would change on this TV, and I drew a blank... it is that Amazing!!This is one of the best purchases I've ever made! For those that think Samsung and Sony are better, do some research as this has a way more technology than you'll find in most any of those sets! In second place I would put Samsung's UI... but definitely this TCL is running on the nicest user interface to date!My advice - BUY IT - you will not have any regrets!
