My fiance loves it. I love it. And the slick little ring around the atomizer is so clever. Even he noticed that. The bottle feels great in my hand and the plunger isn't cheaply made. Which is a problem sometimes with perfume bottles. Then you end up with a half unusable bottle. Not from #Hermes though. They never leave one detail to chance. And I am grateful for that.

Blind bought this one last month and have fell in love with this scent DNA 🧬 . Even as a 24 year old, this smell has worked well for me. Opens up immediately with a realistic yet strong orange rind smell mixed with other spicy (peppery) citrus. Many have described this as a “dirty orange” scent! The wood scents then develop rather quickly and sit on my skin for a while. I would say that it projects well but not amazingly. It lasts me anywhere from 6-12 hours which is a huge plus for me. In my opinion, even as a “dirty” smell, this EDT mainly feels “clean” to me. It’s fresh fresh and energetic to me. The bottle is the best there can be for a men's perfume. It's austere. Uvestysty. Robust and sturdy. The liquid inside is of honey-amber color, transparent. There is no lid, or rather, it can be screwed on and off. It is quite a "collected" fragrance, not to say that it is very strict - everything is in moderation here. It suits any man's image, any clothes, any occasion. There is simply amazing vetiver, bitter grapefruit and pepper balance the composition. There's woods and citrus, but it's all balanced and so beautiful! The fragrance has a wonderful persistence, very beautiful alluring trail.

It's a strong, silent fragrance -- noticeable, pleasant, sophisticated and appreciated. Perfect for the office. Great for an outdoor gathering in spring or fall. Works great in formal occasions. Most consider this a fall or spring fragrance but it works well in the summer outside of the very hottest days and in the winter when the spice beneath the citrus really shines. Can't ask for much more in a fragrance.

I bought this parfum for my husband on his birthday. And he love it so much. He only review that “ this is a very beautiful and manageable offering by Hermes. I tend to go a bit heavy with 10 sprays out of the shower and then dress. I would not say it has the heft of other perfumes with vetiver that can be quite potent. The notes are perfectly formed as new and fresh with the masculine smell of vetiver being prevalent but balanced into a smooth freshness. You’ll love it ! “

I’m an easy to please fragrance fan. I’ve heard Terre d’Hermes get described as a “masterpiece” multiple times. Most fragrance aficionados would actually agree. However, in my 50-100 bottle collection, this is easily one of the least likeable ones I own. Not only do I not enjoy it as much as I enjoy my others, I have never received a positive comment when wearing it. This opens as a very woody and citrusy fragrance that settles down into a vetiver bomb (and not much else). This fragrance is pretty much only vetiver to me, and that is not what I’d call a masterpiece. Most people disagree with me, especially so since this fragrance is on multiple “greatest of all time” lists, but I cannot recommend this.

A timeless fragrance

Terre d'Hermes was the first fragrance I ever bought, way back in 2009 and now, 13 years later I'm pleased to say it smells as timeless as ever. Compared to some fragrances which bear little resemblance to their launch formulation, Terre d'Hermes still smells exactly as I remember it.The opening gives a strong citrus blast which slowly fades into a beautiful, vetiver infused dry-down which is as sophisticated as it is alluring. I can't think of an occasion which Terre d'Hermes wouldn't be suitable for; date nights, business, holidays, it's beautifully suited for all.

Signature Scent that fades!

I've read many comments saying this is a signature scent"; and it is. There's a strong citrus note that fades to a lite woodsy scent. It doesn't last more than 3 - 4 hours; although many posters have experienced 8 hours. It's a wonderful scent nonetheless. The only complaint is that it does not last but I found that to be the case with most EDT's. If you're buying this "blind" you won't be disappointed."
