I bought this jacket just in time for a family hiking trip to Yellowstone and it was the best purchase I've made. I've been looking for a multi-layer jacket for years, and am so happy with this. I could wear each layer separately (and did a lot) as well as together (which provided extra warmth in the evenings). It'll be my go-to in the colder months and I hope it lasts a long time in any season and any location. For photo reference, I bought an XS. I'm 5'2", 90lb and there's enough room under the puffer to wear a long sleeve and oversized hoodie comfortably.

I was looking for the perfect waterproof rain jacket and this is the one. I can use it year round because it has an insulated jacket zipped into it. I can also use that jacket independently of the rain jacket. Together, the jacket is lightweight and stylish.I love the color as well. Two jackets for the price of one! Perfection!!

I absolutely love this jacket and how functional. I initially bought for Ireland trip (in September 2023). I am very excited to use it because it is rain-proof! The inner jacket is so comfortable- easy to separate the inner and out coat. I am 5'5" and the coat just covers my hips and rear! I sized up knowing I will likely layer underneath. The sleeve length is also perfect. The pockets are fleece lined and very comfortable hand placement. I wish it was figure-flattering but honestly- it is wonderful in all practical areas! 10/10 recommend!Pending Ireland trip results!!

This jacket is well made but NOT warm. I bought and wore this for skiing (22-25 degree weather). My arms were not insulated at all. The second time (same temps) I wore a wool sweater, still not warm. I am a very warm bodied person and I was very cold, not just a little. I wore this again with weather in 50s. I was not warm and felt a draft in my sleeves. I was comfortable while wearing this jacket in 50 degree weather. I'm wondering when I would ever take out the inner jacket- in 65 degrees when I don't need a supposed winter jacket? Another comment is I prefer to zip down the pockets to close-these you must zip up to close.
I first ordered a small because usually I am a small. In all other places I am a small. These jackets are built for people who climb mountains, bike 32 miles a day, and hike on the weekends kind of small. Like this jacket is an athletic small. I bought the small thinking that it would fit because I'm small in an every other store kind of way but imma tell you that when I put on the small that I got in the carto triclimate, it barely zipped up. The zipper was struggling to get up and the tension on the fabric was not concerning but was asking to not be left in that position. Zipped up, it was also tight on my butt and my booty ain't that big. I had to return my first order of a small and get a medium which was a large improvement in terms of the zip up and the booty ... MoreI first ordered a small because usually I am a small. The arms weren't long as well so in the end, the medium worked well but buying the small and returning it is always a hassle.I also thought it would be warmer and I think it is warm, don't get me wrong. I work outside a lot in different locations and thought that the jacket would keep me warm on the coldest of LA nights but when the Santa Anna Winds be swirling and gusty, that wind gets you to the bones and the carto triclimate by itself does not hold up. LA isn't that cold but when her nights are cold, they are cold. I still like the jacket and it's ability to unzip the inner layer or outer layer depending on what level of protection that you want. All this to say, only 1 star is docked because I like the jacket itself and I feel like a villain in it. It has a cool design and the duel layer is awesome! Its just alright when it comes to the size chart and the warm chart.
For taking walks and doing everyday stuff, this is a really nice jacket. It seems more water-resistant than waterproof. When i cycle through soms heavier rain for 15 minutes, the rain mainly hits the front and arms of the jacket. The water was absorbed, and soaked through the inner layer as well. So my arms and the inside of the outer pockets are wet. Its going to take a few days to dry both layers.I am quite sad i cant use this waterproof jacket in the rain to take my kids to sport, since it is really expensive.
I bought this jacket recently. I used it for the first time in the poring rain, windy, end of March, 7 C, I give these details so it puts in context my opinion. The Jacket is high quality. It repelled all of the rain thrown at it all day. The zip in zip out is useful. I used two layers, and 4 thin own layers. I have to say you'd need a fleece instead of a jumper as I wasnt quite warm enough. I wouldn't really call it a winter jacket as such.Perfect for majority of the year. The pockets are useful & the high neck is a great feature. I took a size L & size 12 usually in Jackets. There's enough room for layers. Would recommend this, worth the money.
I received this jacket as a Christmas present from my partner and absolutely love it. It's extremely versatile since you can wear the jackets together for cold weather, or separate them and wear just the lining or outer layer for warmer weather. The colors look great on both layers too!For size, I'm 5'10" and 135lbs and went with a Medium although I usually wear Small. It's a little loose as expected, but has room for when I need to bundle up with extra layers underneath and still looks great and not baggy when I dress lightly. While this was my first North Face jacket, hopefully it's not my last!
Extremely satisfied with the price of this Women's North Face Carto Triclimate Ski Jacket! Better than any other online site as well as a better price than North Face direct, even after deducting their 15% off coupon! Also, you're the only site that had this jacket in black in a women's large. FYI this jacket runs EXTREMELY small. Ordered it for my athletic soccer player daughter to wear to practices in evenings here in NY. She couldn't even wear a hoodie underneath in the size medium, arms are way too tight. She is 5 ft 8 inches, 140 lbs, and wears a 3-4 dress size yet her upper torso is more of a 1-2. So it's ridiculous to call this jacket by North Face a women's large. Keep that in mind. Yet the large size is great, she can wear her hoodie underneath without it ... MoreExtremely satisfied with the price of this Women's North Face Carto Triclimate Ski Jacket! I read the reviews about the size running small and the sleeves being a tad short. Some people complained that this wasn't warm enough for freezing temps. I run cold, but I didn't want a parka, I wanted this jacket for temperatures between the high teens to low 50s. I have wider hips and many athletic jackets are too tight at the bottom. So I swallowed my pride, followed the reviewers' advice, and ordered a size up. The sleeves are just a teeny bit long, but the velcro cuffs take care of that and otherwise, the fit is great. I'm very happy with the length (just covers my hips) and the comfort. The pockets a huge, and that's proved to be a big convenience at times. This is a great coat for travel, and the raincoat and inner jacket are easily separated or re-combined.
