Hard to put this book down once I began reading it. The story took me back to the time and place of the main character’s journey in her life. I’ll admit, this is the first Nicholas Sparks book where I suspected what was going to be revealed towards the end, and I was right. Nevertheless I enjoyed this book immensely. There are two Sparks novels that have made my cry..Dear John and THIS BOOK. I don’t want to say much more that will spoil the details for future readers. I would recommend this book very much.

I have read almost all of NS’s books and this was a good one. I don’t think it’s as good as some (the Choice, Nights in Rodanthe etc) but it was good for one of his newer reads. I attempted to read See Me last year and I couldn’t even finish it so I was excited to read this and see more of his classic style love story again. This story is a tad predictable in some ways, but also has a different twist than most love stories. I really enjoyed it overall!

Nicholas Sparks has gone above and beyond with this fantastic heart wrenching tale! I believe this will make it to the big screen as it so rightly deserves! As this story unfolded, I found myself so engaged and wanting more and more. I couldn't put it down. The ending was spectacular and I have to say I didn't see it coming. I loved this book so very much and I've already told all of my reader friends that it is a must read! I was transported by this story to this place and time and felt such a connection with the characters and their circumstances. My favorite book of Nicholas Sparks will always be The Notebook which touched my heart as no other book has, but The Wish is a close second!
Didn’t care for the storyline nor the wording. Couldn’t get into it. Not a fun or relaxing read. Plus cancer this, cancer that… right off the bat. In a strange way though. Main character is boring as well. Not sure how this book has such good reviews on here? I only made it 20 pages in and finally gave up on it. I knew within the first couple of pages that it wasn’t for me, but wanted to give it a fair chance due to liking the author. Wish I would’ve skipped buying this book.
honestly, it started out a tad slow but quickly picked up the story line and I was hooked, could hardly put it down. It grabs you till you can't wait to read the next chapter. Great descriptions of the place where they book takes place, I could see it so clearly in my mind's eye. Would recommend reading this book to anyone.

I purchased this book for my daughter for Christmas. The book was used and had permanent marker on some of the pages as well as on the side. Purchased from Walmart, but had a nasty old looking target sticker on the front. Super annoyed and frustrated.
I will admit that iam not a avid reader, however i found myself sick and out of work and bored. My mother in law loves Nicolas Sparks and had bought me this book to read. From the first couple pages i was captivated, i could not put the book down. Read the entire book in 3 days. i would recommend this book to anyone
