I adore tobacco and vanilla in my fragrances all the way hard core, but I do not like how it’s portrayed in Tobacco vanille at all. I really do think the ginger note just throws the entire fragrance off, and I could t wait to scrub it off of my body. Now, as a fragrance as a whole, it’s nice for the winter time, Christmas, ect but definitely not for year round. I know a lot of people claim this smells like gingerbread cookies and cigars, and I get the cigar but I like the way gingerbread cookies smell, but this is different. The ginger note is so prominent in this fragrance that it almost overpowers the tobacco and that’s saying something. Vanilla comes through more in the dry down, but I can still smell that ginger note that I just don’t like. The ginger never disappears and I don’t like that. When you see “Tobacco vanille” your thinking your gonna get a boozy tobacco vanilla fragrance, not a ginger tobacco fragrance which is what I get more than vanilla. The ginger dominates the whole fragrance and I just don’t like it. It’s definitely unisex, and a man or woman can wear it, but it’s just not for me. I’m so sad that this didn’t work for me, but that’s what I get when I’m looking at the name “Tobacco Vanille” and actually expecting those two notes, not a whole bunch of ginger. Unfortunately this just doesn’t work for me, and I will be getting something else in exchange for it for sure. I’ve wanted this fragrance for a long time, but boy this is not what I expected at all. Take the ginger out and put more vanilla and I would adore it. The ginger just ruined the whole fragrance for me. I love boozy, tobacco, vanilla, gourmands, but this is not a gourmand at all in my opinion.

The blend of sumptuous tobacco leaf, velvety vanilla, and the decadent caress of cocoa creates a symphony that resonates with the heart of a perfume lover’s dream aka me lol. Picture this: a luxurious dance of aromas that unfold on your skin, each note revealing its own tale of passion and sophistication. Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille is, without a doubt, a dream fulfilled, a symphony for the senses that elevates the art of perfumery to unparalleled heights. I definitely recommend. I have used it on its own on a cold beautiful day. I have paired it with Kay Ali vanilla 28 and Maison Margiela’s jazz club and they took it to the next level of smelling mysterious, dark and beautiful.

I’ve heard a lot of hype and praise for Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, and I’ve heard from many people that it is a masterpiece and one of the best scents ever created. While I don’t necessarily agree with this, I still feel like it is a very creative and complex scent. If you do not like the smell of tobacco, this definitely isn’t for you, as the scent comes off extremely potent. I personally had never tried tobacco before I tried Tobacco Vanille, so I’m realizing now that tobacco is not my cup of tea. It almost has a medicine type of smell to me, maybe in the future I may grow more fond of it, but as of now, I’ll probably tend to stay away from tobacco scents. Tom Ford always has intriguing and complex scents, and this is one is no different, I recommend sniffing this one, especially if you’re fond of tobacco scents.

A Festive Fragrance Journey
5 June 2024

I would like to extend my gratitude to Influenster for this wonderful free gift in exchange for an honest review! Initially, when I first smelled Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, I found the scent quite overpowering and unpleasant. The spices were incredibly strong, reminiscent of a potent cinnamon and tobacco combination, which I felt was more suitable for a man than a woman. The packaging is sleek and elegant, the smoky color I think compliments the nature of the fragrance. I find the price point to be a bit high, especially since it's not one of my personal favorites. However, for someone who loves the scent and finds it complements their pheromones, it could be a great investment.Upon applying it to my skin, my initial dislike intensified. However, for someone who loves the scent and finds it complements their pheromones, it could be a great investment.Upon applying it to my skin, my initial dislike intensified. However, I was pleasantly surprised after about 15 minutes when the fragrance settled into a more harmonious vanilla and tobacco blend. This transformation made me appreciate the scent much more, and I’m glad I didn’t give up on it!In my opinion, this fragrance is perfect for the holiday season. I can easily envision wearing it during Thanksgiving, as its aroma blends wonderfully with the scents of desserts and festive treats. It is particularly well-suited for the winter months. The projection thesillage is impressive, leaving a noticeable trail, and the longevity is amazing. The fragrance lasted all day, and I even noticed it lingering on my shirt when I went to wash it, which was quite surprising and commendable. Definitely a one spritzer though! In conclusion, while I believe the scent leans more towards being complementary for men, I can still understand why it is considered unisex. The unique aroma may not be appreciated by everyone, but it certainly grew on me. I’m glad I had the opportunity to try it, as it is a unique scent that I will be using again during the winter. This fragrance is truly an oldie but a goodie.

Dry down > initial notes
8 May 2024

I was a bit hesitant at first with Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille perfume. In my opinion, the opening notes of this fragrance is very tobacco and woody forward with a subtle hint of spice. At first, I couldn't detect much for sweetness. It's also pretty strong right after spraying. This combined - it's not a fragrance I would typically gravitate toward. However, I am SO glad I gave it a chance and waited! It will be the perfect fall fragrance - I can already imagine myself wearing this while going to the pumpkin farm and drinking some apple cider around a bonfire.Even a small application can last for hours, gradually revealing new facets of its character with each passing moment. Whether worn during the day or into the night, it commands attention without overwhelming the senses, leaving a lingering trail of sophistication and intrigue in its wake. The packaging seems very high quality. The cap has a magnet in it which is very helpful - I won't have to worry about the cap popping off while I'm traveling! Additionally, the bottle can be reused - which I love! I'm always looking for ways I can reduce my environmental impact - unlike other perfumes, I appreciate that the bottle can be refilled instead of tossing it once the fragrance is out.I did receive this free for my honest opinion.

I'm surprised there's only been one other review for this

I'm surprised there's only been one other review for this amazing product from the Tom Ford Private Blend line. Firstly if you can I recommend testing the product first on your skin and purchasing directly from an authorised retailer to ensure its authenticity. Plus you WILL get samples of other TF fragrances. Now for the product itself. Rich vanilla with tonka bean, cloves, raisins and other spices and a hint of tobacco leaf. On my skin I definitely get chocolate and the tobacco dies down to a smooth vanilla skin scent. Ideal for Autumn and Winter but not for warm weather. This scent will get you noticed and you will get compliments. Marketed as unisex but very masculine and not a scent which can be worn by young men. This scent will get you noticed and you will get compliments. Marketed as unisex but very masculine and not a scent which can be worn by young men. You need to be confident and mature to wear this. The price. Longevity is BEAST. All I need is one spray on the neck and I'm done for the next 12 hours. So unlike cheaper designer fragrances which require three to four sprays which last maybe six hours, this fragrance is robust and projects well for much less juice. This is a fragrance you would wear to impress a date most definitely. You will not smell like any other man in the room. You will not smell like other guys she has dated before. It's a scent that your date will remember even if she or he won't remember you if the night goes badly. You see .... I'm not saying this scent will suddenly turn you into a sexual God. What it does do is give you that extra level of confidence, and confidence is what this scent exudes. If you are aged thirty five or over, buy this. Stop wasting money on designer fragrances and leave the 1 Million to the young boys who are just moving away from LYNX body spray. It's time to pay premium prices for niche fragrances, and you will not regret it. And what juice for Spring and Summer? Two words ... Creed Aventus.

Interesting depth and development

I am a huge fan of this scent. When you first spray, the tobacco leaf is strong, with a pinch of anise which smells like black liquorice, I was at first thinking this is definitely a male dominant fragrance and wasn't sure how I felt about it quite yet but as the day went on and the notes developed on my skin, I find this to actually lean on the feminine side. The vanilla starts to shine through with a wonderful creamy and woodsy note. This is definitely a sexy perfume and is suited for cooler weather or a very romantic date night. I am not so sure with the dry down that I would like this on my husband but would rather prefer it on myself. The rollercoaster of notes and how they developed overtime was fun to experience, I was apprehensive when I had read that this scent leans heavily masculine but I don't find that to be the case at all, this is something I feel is a sensual and mature feminine fragrance and not mature as in powdery, there isn't any powder notes, I say mature as in a grown woman, 20s+. I haven't much tried many Tom Ford perfumes but I am definitely intrigued to look into them more. I've received this in exchange for my honest opinion, my review is fully mine and I do my best to give a detailed description.

Such a unique and yummy smell

I was recently gifted a bottle of this perfume from my mother. Omg it is amazing!Smelling the bottle it makes me think of a fancy chai latte l, I get warm spicy notes. Applying on my skin, vanilla is the dominant note that comes through with that delicious spice smell in the background. It makes me think of a fancy cupcake smell, but it's not overly sweet or juvenile. It smells sexy and sophisticated. When I spray on clothing the tabacco note is the dominant thing I smell. I don't understand people commenting on smelling like cigarettes...? Tabacco leaf smells nothing like an ashtray or burned cigarettes, it has that earthy, herbal smell to it.One spray can last all day, on clothing can smell it even longer. Now that I have been able to try it I absolutely love it. It's by far my favorite scent in my growing collection.I do feel like this could be a good unisex scent, and it on me at least smells much sweeter when applied on skin. As such I feel like it's a bit more of a feminine scent.

The dry down > initial fragrance

I was a bit hesitant at first with Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille perfume. In my opinion, the opening notes of this fragrance is very tobacco and woody forward with a subtle hint of spice. At first, I couldn't detect much for sweetness. It's also pretty strong right after spraying. This combined - it's not a fragrance I would typically gravitate toward. However, I am SO glad I gave it a chance and waited! The dry down is spectacular and luckily, the strength of the fragrance mellows out quickly. As the fragrance evolves, the sweetness of the vanilla emerges; it is perfectly balanced by the spicey/woody notes. I'm always looking for ways I can reduce my environmental impact - unlike other perfumes, I appreciate that the bottle can be refilled instead of tossing it once the fragrance is out.

Truly unique
10 May 2024

I like this product a lot because it's an extremely unique cologne. I've never smelled anything like it before. It has a seductive quality to it. It's a very masculine cologne so I would recommend this cologne more for men than women. I had my husband wear this whenever we went out, even just to the grocery store because it smells so amazing! I've already made plans to purchase this cologne for the men in my family because it's a brilliant gift. I'm extremely happy that I was selected to try this because it's going to replace my husband's current cologne. I also really enjoy the bottle it's packaged in. The lid is magnetic, which is also quite unique. My husband now wants this same cologne in the larger sized bottle because that one looks like a chess piece and it's ... MoreI like this product a lot because it's an extremely unique cologne. My husband now wants this same cologne in the larger sized bottle because that one looks like a chess piece and it's going to go well with his new Tom Ford collection he's now starting It has a warm and spicy woody scent with key noyes of tobacco leaf, vanilla and ginger. While the pricetag is a bit high, it's well worth every drop. I've only found one cologne that compairs in key notes but this is the only one that smells as high quality as this and lasts as long as this, lasting for days on clothing, bedding or wherever it's sprayed.
