My second pair of Vans and I am not the least bit disappointed! I absolutely love how the cream and black compliment each other and of course, they're really comfortable plus can be worn on a multitude of occasions. My first pair are going through their second winter and going strong. So nice to buy something that is great quality as well as a fantastic aesthetic. Oh just noticed it's for my children's! But we have the same. They are also on their second pair!

Love love love these! Same checkered design and fit as when I was a teen. I listened to the reviews and ended up buying half a size down thinking they were running large, but don't do it! Order your true size, these run narrow and tight on your foot. I think there's another re-issue version that might run bigger but these classic ones do not. I need to exchange these for my true size now to give me more room! For the price, it's still worth the effort to get the right fit.

We have always kept a pair of these in my daughters shoe collection as she has grown, and they've always been her favorite since she could match with mom and dad. Unfortunately when we had to make the switch from toddler to kid shoes, we had a big issue. I got a size up in the kids shoe hoping she would grow into them, but because they do not have the Velcro strap we have a very hard time getting them on her foot even with our help. Due to this she has only gotten to wear them about 5 times since we got them. I would like to recommend extending the toddler shoe with Velcro into sizes that still include toddlers ( size 11&12) so we can continue to have the matching checkerboard vans tradition with our daughter.

Normally the vans skate/pro slip ons are an unbeatable skate shoe, but this time around I had to take 2 stars off for a weird reason.I'm pretty sure I got unlucky with a factory defect, because it was only the left shoe that had an issue. The part of the shoe that rests against my achilles tendon was really hard/sharp, as if someone melted plastic with a lighter. It really dug into my achilles, and caused blistering within like 15 minutes of usage, not even kidding. I've gone through probably 10 pairs of this shoe in my life and never had a problem like this. I'm sure it is a fluke.Thankfully, I was able to wear the hard part out of the shoe and now it doesn't blister and works fine. She also helped me find the perfect size. The shoes are also great. Great quality! I have had mine for quite a while now and they are still in great condition. I love them! What was also great is that usually when I get my vans from the vans store I don't get fit properly and they end up stretching out overtime and no longer fit correctly. I bought the checkerboard marshmallow on sale, and they are perfect. I did not read the reviews, which I’m glad because apparently, ppl are sizing down. But I found these ran TTS for me. I’m a true size 5 womens or kids size 3, and very rarely have to size up in any shoe besides in mules sometimes. My foot width is normal to narrow I’d say. These fit great and are comfortable right out the box for me. I don’t own any Vans. But when I saw this neutral color way, I had to get it. So cute and goes with everything. Highly recommend!
My 7 year old son's first pair of Vans slip ons. He loves them! Especially because he doesn't have to tie any laces. The shape of the toe area is the classic design which is way better than the last pair I bought myself that had pointy toes and inverted rubber that caved in towards the bottom of the front of the shoe. I actually returned them due the new design. First time over 30 years of wearing Vans that I had to return any pair. I prefer the classic rounded front of shoe with the rubber outersole straight up and down vertically.
I based my sizing on the current vans my son wears, which were some velcro ones size 9. I knew the shape/sizing may differ with slip ons. I went half a size up with 9.5, and once tried on, it was much too large. I may have to go a full size down to 8.5, which is half a size smaller than the vans he currently wears. I re measured my son's feet which match the 16cm it says inside the shoe, as well as other size guides available online. So either these are mislabelled or the sizing is way too big. I hate having to faff around with returns, and re purchasing when there isn't a van's store locally. I have owned dozens of vans for myself, my husband, and my children, and these are HORRIBLE. I thought I was ordering standard toddler slip ons, but these have Velcro on the side that make them way too loose and wide, and there is no structure at all to the heel. Other slip ons have a hard backing, these are flimsy. They fall right off of my 5-year-old's feet. I'm so disappointed and outside of the return window.
daughter wears a 13 went to a size 1 and another size and a half to 1.5. She has a very skinny foot and we almost dislocated our wrist trying to get her foot in. This shoe wasn’t like this as a toddler because she had these a few times. Will be returning yet again and choosing another brand. Do better van because the stretch part is extremely rigid.
