I purchased these for my granddaughter (junior in high school) to start school and she loves them! She wears a size 10 and wondered if she should order a size up just to be certain. I told her to read the online posts to see if there were comments regarding size or width, as surely if there was a caveat, there would be repeated posts addressing it. She did and the posts stated that they were 'true to size' so I ordered the 10s. She loves them! (Many thanks for those who take time to write in comments--it does help!) She tried them on for me so that I could see them....they are adorable! The fit was perfect and very cute on her feet. She said that they were super comfortable. Love, love, love this beautiful blue color! It's brighter than a navy, but not as bright as a royal blue. I would say say it reminds me of a stormy sea, or a cloudless night in winter. I bought these for my daughter, but I wish that I had bought them for myself, because they'll go with anything, but they are more unique than a basic black or grey. ** Review Sweepstakes

I love Vans Old School style. I was so glad I got my size 8 in blue color before they sold out!! I already had a black and a tan pair . Love that their is no break in period and so comfortable. Alsways get a pair for myself and daughter so we have our own, since we wear the same size. Want more colors. I missed the burgundy ones darn!! we both wear a narrow medium so getting a size 8 seems to work. I think they run a half size big, but try them on to make sure. They do stretch also for wider feet!!
I love these shoes! This is my second pair of the Old Skool Sneakers! I purchased the True White style in size 7 and it goes with nearly every outfit that I wear. I prefer these to the white Converse! I live in these shoes every day -they are so incredibly comfortable. I'm in my late 20's and don't feel like a teenager whenever I slip these on- they are truly a classic style. I even wear them to work (I work in an office with a casual dress code). My only wish is that they had the Vans logo on the tongue like in the other styles (I own a pair of these in olive green suede). If you're thinking about purchasing these - just do it! You won't regret it!
Love these kicks--they're exactly what he wanted for his birthday. Many, many thanks to Jerry at Tillys. Fedex delivered the package to the wrong address. I was told the only way to get these Vans in time for his birthday was to order another pair and have it sent overnight, with no guarantee I'd be reimbursed for the first pair. Before I placed the new order, the original pair miraculously showed up at our door. Thanks again, Jerry.
The only thing I don't like is I didn't know there were suede elements on the shoe until they arrived. Otherwise the color is sick and the shoe fits amazing. I have a wide foot and I get a men's 8.5 and it's smooth as butter baby!
I wasn’t sure about sizing since I previously owned Vans Authentic and had to go a half size down. I wear a women’s 7.5 in almost all my shoes, (ie Converse Chucks) but occasionally I need to go down to a 7, which I did for my Vans Authentic since 7.5 was too loose. I read many reviews for the Old Skool and some said size up, some size down, others true to size. Since it was pretty confusing I decided to just go with what I got before in Vans and got a size 7 women’s. While the 7 does fit, they are a bit tight and uncomfortable. My toes have zero wiggle room, which is a most for me, as I hate my foot feeling cramped. I’ll be returning for a 7.5 since I love the shoes otherwise!
I bought these for my husband as a Christmas present. They look great and they're comfortable, however after only 6 weeks they have a hole in the upper where his toes are. He hasn't worn them every day or even for long periods of time. Really disappointing as it's too late to return them. Expected better quality from Vans.
These were exactly like the ones my son had previously in a different color, and had worn them almost everyday for 10 months! So they are stylish, smart looking, and incredibly durable. Worthwhile purchase. We're delivered in 1 day.
