Probably owned in excess capital of 50 pairs of half cab pros. These were the absolute best shoes ever and absolutely gutted they have been replaced by these. Mine split at the back within a week (exactly the same as loads of other people leaving reviews here). There are also super stiff and have no left me with Achilles tendinitis after trying deal with the pain to break them in. I've supported vans for years but these new half cabs are a huge step in the wrong direction, shouldn't have fixed what wasn't broken... BRING BACK HALF CAB PROS!!!

They are great, esp. with the 10% discount, but the chunky bumpers all the way round made it tricky for my son to work out whether they fit well, and within 2 weeks he was complaining that he should have sized up. Too late now as he's worn them outside and can't afford another pair.

Great kicks, super comfy and excellent grip. Wish you guys had more kneepads and elbows, clothing variations are a bit lacklustre. Will probably only buy shoes and decks from you.
I skate it, and love the feeling of the shoe, it's inner soles and support around my ankles. I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that the back of the shoe already has split open, two sessions in..
I've used half cabs for years, but this redesign is not great. The shoe is too tight due to the pop Cush sole, but the worst is ur is the shoes rip at the back when you put them on and it gets worse each time you wear them. Not great, you've ruined one of the best skate shoes ever made
I have always loved vans. I’ve worn them for at least 20 years and tried many models. The Half-cab’s are a completely different creature. They were very difficult to get on due to the narrowness of the shoe and wide walls of the shoe. Also, these are pretty heavy compared to the pro-Cush. Overall I’ll wear them because they do look good after fitting them just right but I won’t be buying another pair of this model.
I bought the beef/broccoli colorway.i love the look but I wore them twice and I noticed that the top of the outside of the heel had cracked with the stuffing and all.I contacted vans but they said it was normal wear&tear. I just dont think that shoes should come apart just by walking in them.
My son plows through skate shoes and these hold up better than any others. Thanks for carrying them amd at a reasonable price!
Back of the shoe immediately ripped at the seam as i put the shoe on, no excessive pressure was used so i'm guessing just bad build quality.I've only ever bought Half cab pro's previously but they don't make them anymore so thought i'd try these 1/10 would not try again :(
