Love this pair. Color is true to the photos and a versatile shade of brown suede that pairs well with a wide variety of colors from faded denim and navy to olive drab or tan. Fit is true to size, so order a half size up for more breathing room. The bright white trim and soles are a nice contrast, but a natural/ tan/ gum option would be great too.

Obsessed with this style and Vans in genera, but this green is called Olive and appears to be a brighter, mint green. In person it's definitely like a khaki, more neutral tan/green color. Will be keeping them because I like the style, but I am disappointed they aren't the color depicted on the website. Would be a lot cuter if they were the lighter mint green.

My son went to a Vans store and they were out of this particular color in his size at both of their locations (Locally) and the manager wasn't too helpful and said this was a discontinued item and they didn't even have them available online anymore. Well, it was right around the corner from my sons birthday and he REALLY wanted these in THIS color, so I did an internet search and found them IN HIS SIZE and COLOR for $15.00 less at Tillys than what they were at the Vans Store! Ordering was a breeze and they arrived in plenty of time for this birthday and he was SUPER HAPPY!! Thanks Tillys for making his birthday GREAT! "Review Sweepstakes" please!!
These sneakers really are creamy and they feel like heaven! Fit very well, true to size. I got them because of the flowers. I like to garden, flowers make me happy and these flower shoes make me so very happy! Oh and did I mention they are cushiony soft? Well they are!
I bought these as my last pair of vans started to wear. I quickly ordered as was going on holiday and packed them but on holiday I noticed they felt different to my previous ones and cut the back of my foot which never happened with my old ones. I have just checked and the last ones I bought were Classic Old Skool and these were just Old Skool and although the look is exactly the same the back bit comes up higher than the previous ones. Shame as now I have paid for trainers that are going to hurt to be worn but just as a forewarning for others!
These shoes are my favorite color, so i was very excited about them. They're stiff, insane hard to get on and rub the sides on my toe. I can usually only wear them for about a hour before I start to blister. Cute, but too stiff to be functional. I would recommend anybody pass on these.
My bride loved the style, but after they arrived, when she tried them on with and without socks, they were just too tight, L&W.She gave them to a young lady that they fit and she is really pumped to have the style and fit. So the purchase ended up alright after all.If Old Skool styles run small, put a disclaimer on the site.
Man, if you are tempted by the Van Doren Special Old Skools, go for it. It is a wonderfully weird idea for a themed sneaker (BBQ/Burger themed????) that works cause Vans rarely misses. It looks better in person and had that great old skool feel (with a short break in period). I'm not even super worried about getting them dirty with wear cause it'll definitely enhance the way the shoe looks. I typically wear old skools to work with a pair of generic slacks/chinos and a polo, and this definitely works for that and pretty much any outfit.Im glad sneakerheads/hypebeasts dont go crazy for Vans like they do Nikes, cause this is a very unique, fun pair of shoes that gets lots of stares and compliments.
The photos are not accurate to what the shoes actually look like. Ordered the olive which appears like a nice green - what arrived was nearly tan? This is also my 3rd time trying to leave this review? Didn't think Vans would avoid posting less than perfect reviews but here we are?
