Victron produces top quality units and stands behind their product with great warranties.I bought this unit at Volts.ca as I find their service and pricing to be of the same level. I dealt with Volts.ca before in other Victron purchases and they have been great in helping me solve some issues and problems. Volts.ca is my number one Victron dealer in Canada.

Second setup of Victron products I've purchased from BlueMarine. Purchased this 75/15 controller and two 100w Sunpower panels for my Four Wheel Camper. Just installed and tested, very happy, observing up to 170w/12 amps from this combo in OH in March. Also have the 30a DC/DC charger in the camper. You can also read my review of the 30a controller and 30a AC/DC charger I put in our toy hauler, also a great experience. It's nice to deal with a knowledgeable company that is easy to get on the phone if you need them.

I’m using this charger for an Amateur Radio Field Day demonstration of a human power bicycle generator (with a rectifier and filter) and will add a solar power source for when legs tire. I have been using a small solar setup at a remote property I have owned for years. I was using a Trace C40 which is one of the better PWM controllers and this is my first experience with MPPT. I recently moved the batteries about 75 ft from the panels and into a equipment shed and at 12 volts the line losses were significant. I rewired my old panels in series {120 vdc) and installed a Victron 150/35. right beside the battery. I went from barely able to charge the battery to it being full everyday by noon. The bluetooth is great because I don't even have to unlock the shed and go inside I can just connect and know instantly the state of the entire charging system. This is a nice product. There's a few things lacking from the app, but overall it's really nice to see all the activity and charging times, and change settings. I was worried because I set it up a day before we left on a trip. It went through several quick firmware updates that worked without a snag. It's pulling power from a 100 watt Renogy PV panel and charging a 100AH Battleborn LiFePO4 battery. Battleborn's site lists all the best settings, and the app made it super easy to change them. I really didn't have time to even test it if was manage everything correctly. We spent a week at Ocracoke Island National Park campground, with no shore power. It was great, worked like a charm. Had 12v power all week with no problems topping off the battery.
I bought 2 and they work great and are much more efficient than my 2004 model outback chargers. I especially like that Victron allows us to over panel to help out on cloudy days. Other brands will void your warranty if you over panel.One thing that could be improved on by Victron is the connection points for DC out. The 450/200 has bolts for lugs and its easy to run two thick cables e.g. 70 or even 90mm. The 250/100 has a box connector that just allows a single 50mm cable. Would be better and safer if they had bolts for lugs. Luckily I could shorten tge distance to my battery.All in all though, I'm very happy with this purchase and a great price. Also, Chante is very good at helping out when changing orders. Thank you

I love my SmartSolar 250/100. It has so many useful features, bluetooth to quickly see what the stats are, it will charge a battery from zero volts (especially useful for my NiFe batteries) I can easily change settings with bluetooth and I love that I can set it to charge up to 65 volts for my NiFe. Another thing that has amazed me is that I've never seen as much power drawn from my panels before. I have 16x300-watt panels, so a total of 4800 watt rated, yet I've seen on a number of occasions wattages in excess of 4800 watts being drawn by the MPPT feature, just amazing! I also love that I can set up five panels in series and take advantage of the 250 volt input. I haven't done this yet, but when I get my new solar array I'll definately be taking advantage to ... MoreI love my SmartSolar 250/100.
