The set is legit! As soon as I saw it available I ordered it. Love the zip together feature and the way the seems and zippers are super flush and streamline. It makes a clean look. The Gore-Tex is a must and Volcom no less...The price on evo was unbeatable as always. Why shop anywhere else for snowboard gear?

Volcom's L GTX Jacket is the perfect snow gear for the mountains! The fit is true and as described - went with small as I am 5'9" and ~160 lbs. Love the way it fits which works seamlessly with Volcom Freakin Gore Chino Pants. Love how the L GTX keeps you warm on hill yet is super breathable with the breathable mesh and zippered pit zips. Also appreciate the number of zippered pockets, including a one for the mountain pass and another for your smartphone. The material and quality are great with the Gore-Tex construction and love the extra storage for goggles and other small items. Perfect as an outer layer and super easy to add additional layers when needed. Highly recommend Volcom for the mountains!

I'm old school. This jacket is for the young bucks that like baggier clothes. I have always worn a large in other Jackets I've got larger shoulders and chest. In this one I felt like I was wearing a dress. I hate it because it has good features a nice look and felt like a good zipper and a great price for Gore-Tex. I would have kept it if it didn't go down to my thigh.

I really wanted to like these, as they have all the features I need at a great price. However, they were too tight around the hips/waist area and I had to return them, I couldn't even bend over to get to my boots/bindings. I'm 5'8" 175lbs, athletic build, the medium did not fit. Large likely would have been too big (I already own a Large Volcom jacket), which I don't like because it lets more cold air in when you're not wearing many layers underneath. Just wanted to leave this review so someone else doesn't have to order and return like I did.
I've only worn this around town and in a downpour or two so far, but I'm really liking it. True to fit, a bit roomy and the sleeves are kind of long, although that's what I was looking for in a jacket-something roomy enough for layers underneath for shred days. Lots of fantastic features including pow skirt, great pockets, helmet-compatible hood, pass pocket, you get the idea. Looking forward to putting this jacket through its paces.
I remember one year the Mt Baker lifties had this model as their uniform, which is the highest praise outerwear can get. Because that crew spends their entire lives in the wet. Getting glopped on from the sky all day, spending nights in the drippy mossy town of Glacier. Yeesh.
Great quality jacket, good pockets and features. I ended up buying a pair of Volcom pants just because of the Zip tech. Jacket feels like super great quality and will last many seasons.One thing I don't like is that the jacket is slightly long (~2 inches longer than a usual jacket). Especially with zip tech they should've kept the length shorter so as to not be baggy. I love the jacket overall though, definitely keeping it!
I went with this jacket from Volcom because of the 2L Gore-Tex which makes this jacket both lightweight and comfy to wear. I usually ride a lot in the park or in deep pow.And this jacket does it all. From deep snow calm turns, to twisty spins on jumps. I don't feel dragged down by a heavy jacket pressing on my shoulders, and I have the movement to twist and turn. The two layered Gore-Tex is also super comfy to have on, if it's warm but windy I can easily have on a t-shirt under the jacket.I got the Large because I like to wear my jackets a little bit big, but if you like a more snug fit the Medium should also be a good fit.
Love the Gore-Tex mixed with the insulation. Have only worn it in 35 degree days with rain and it did well. Color mix of old-gold and black is nice but not stunning. Overall, I'd recommend it as a good fairly cold-weather jacket for rain and snow.
This jacket is super warm and very waterproof, Volcom gear is always great and last for years. I'm just real lacing a 6 year old non goretex volcom jacket that has been through the ringer and still works for the camping trips. If your in need of great winter gear try Volcom and you will not be disappointed.
