I love this shoe so much! I have never been more passionate about a Nike shoe in my entire life. This shoe is supreme with premium cushioning! I have never felt another race day shoe quite like this gem! From heel to toe the transition is smooth and snappy with the most elite cushioning I’ve ever experienced! Worth every single penny. This shoe makes me feel like an Olympian! Hoping to hit a PR in this puppy.

I absolutely LOVE Alphaflys, but this version is unfortunately much worse than the earlier ones. I ended up having to return them which is nuts because they're my favorite shoe. They removed some of the fun bounce from before that was saving my knees for long runs, they also redesigned the heel in such a way that it gave me terrible blisters! I tried 2 different pairs in case one had a factory malfunction. Unfortunately, same thing. Please bring back the earlier Alphafly designs!

This is by far the best running shoe I have ever owned! I have bad feet but I have never felt more support. With every step I take it feels like the shoe is assisting me ! I am very impressed. The bounce is incredible. I really liked the alphafly 2s but the 3s have me in love with the shoe. The shoe fits incredibly well. My feet feel amazing in these. The bounce these gave me on my run was 1st class. Amazing shoe !!

The shoes are exactly what a person needs to perform their upcoming marathon. The Nike Alphafly 3’s are extremely responsive and have the best energy return out of every stride compared to the competition. I would recommend to people making this investment to go a half size up. I am a true size 10 in Nike shoes (I generally run in the Nike Pegasus Line for reference), but the Alphafly’s in the Pink/Purple color-way at least do run smaller compared to most Nike models. I have tried on a pair of size 10.5 Alphafly and they fit more like a true to size 10 Nike running shoe. Overall, these are awesome shoes and are the best marathon shoes on market!
Comparatively, the Alphafly 3 is 1) lighter 2) more stable (especially around curves) 3) easier on the knees 4) adaptable (one can walk in them) 5) durable (the tread appears to be tougher) Conversely, they operate very differently than the Alphafly 1 and 2, which are front dominant shoes that make one bounce like Tigger the Tiger from step to step. The Alphafly 3 exchanges the great bounce for stability, especially around corners (there's a world of difference). For racing, this exchange is highly advantageous. For an easy run, its a disadvantage (the shoes do all the hard work for Alphafly 1 and 2; the runner must do more work with Alphafly 3).
I hate running shoes mostly because I’m 6’3 215 lbs and a forefoot striker and I feel like most running shoes are designed for people who are 120 - 180 lbs who are heel and mid strikers. The end result of using running shoes for me is painful ailments like metatarsalgia and PF. I had to resort to low top basketball shoes for adequate forefoot support when jogging. I thought I’d try running shoes one more time and went with these top of the line shoes. I love them. They have awesome forefoot support for athletes who want to train by not running on their heels and mids. After all, an athlete on his heels is getting beat by an athlete on his forefoot so why would you want to train for athletics with a shoe that concentrates on heel support? If that sounds like you then ... MoreI hate running shoes mostly because I’m 6’3 215 lbs and a forefoot striker and I feel like most running shoes are designed for people who are 120 - 180 lbs who are heel and mid strikers. I really wanted to love these shoes since they cost so much and have gotten great reviews . I am not a super fast runner and wanted these for race day. I took these out for a test run , 6 miles, to make sure they would work for race day. They were definitely springy and light. The problems were: 1. The squeaking coming from the shoe was unbearable ! It wasn't the inside of the shoe it was the outside or where the carbon plate it.2. I developed R knee pain after my short run and now I'm dealing with that 4 weeks until the marathon.3. The insoles are not removable so if you need orthopedic insoles you Best Buy 1 to 1 1/2 sizes larger if you plan on ripping out the factory insole and putting in your own.I think maybe I got a bad pair but not willing to try again
I do short races on hilly roads and these first alphafly 3s from the beginning of this year are my favorites. I have a wide forefoot, and also the airpods are placed just right for me. They don't have my size anymore, though. I tried the more recent versions of the same name, but strangely, they are just a wee bit narrower, and the airpods are placed a little differently, I think closer in. It wasn't the length but the width around my toes that bothered me. I returned them, and now am on the search for these first versions of alphafly 3.
I love these shoes, have a few pairs of different Alphafly models, from the 1st to the 3rd versions. My only issue with these has always been the NIKE quality control. For the price you pay, and the type of shoe they are supposed to be, they should tighten their quality control and make sure their shoes are not sold with visual faults. Many have quite a heavy dent on the toe box area. Not a problem when this is light as it is a light material. But some have a dent that is too pronounced and gets worst with use. Also, the lower half of the sole and the top half are not always properly lined up when fusing them together.
I have run in more than 30 pair of Nike "go fast" shoes (4%, next%, vaporfly, alphafly, etc.) since 2018 and have appreciated all of them for various reasons. I have typically also gotten great mileage out of each model and version. Typically, more than 300 miles. Except for the Alphafly 3's Both shoes are fraying on the upper outside heel area to the left and right of the pull-on strap. This is after 25 miles. I have a running buddy and hers are doing the same thing. Fast shoes while they last. Have a second pair still in box. Will definitely be using these only for PR or BQ races.
