The Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 had a revelation for my running sessions. These shoes are an embodiment of speed and agility. Their lightweight design makes faster pace workouts feel less painful. Adds a spring to my step

Decided to splurge on a race day shoe for my upcoming half marathon. I train in endorphin speed 3’s, and the pro 4’s are the perfect step up. WOW! The cushioning under foot paired with the carbon plate is a perfect combo. I got the same size as my speed 3’s and they fit great. I’m so excited to race in these!! Oh, absolutely LOVE the vizi red color. I love my running shoes to be bright and bold.

Almost perfect

I’m a 26 year fan of Saucony. I’ve been running in these shoes since 1998, when I got my first pair of ProGrid Flex which were amazing. And I am a fan of the Endorphin series, especially the Pros which I switched to after Hurricanes were discontinued. There were some fit issues with the 2 and 3, very narrow and punchy on the pinky toes, which have been improved in the 4– although I still size up a half size to make room for my toes. The 4 also improved the quality of the upper, which is now stronger and tougher, where my big toe would break through the top after a few months hard use in the Pro 3. However I can’t give the Pro 4 all 5 stars because something is off with the fit around the ankle/top of the instep. The older models came up a little higher, and lacing in tight provided a touch of stability welcome to those of us with a high instep. The 4 is cut lower, and has a tongue designed to fold over the laces for some reason, and this creates less stability around the whole top of the shoe. I hope Saucony will improve this in the Pro 5! The rest of the shoe is a bit longer and more spacious than the earlier models. The sole and carbon plate continue to provide cushy spring with every step, which my Middle Aged bones, joints and tendons appreciate very much! And for anyone else having the same issues with the fit at the top of the instep/ankle: if you use the extra set of lacing holes as well, it will help a little. It leaves your laces silly short, but your feet will lock in the heel better!

Amazing updates to the Endorphin Pro

Every issue I had with previous versions of the Endorphin Pro was solved for the 4, proving that Saucony takes reviews seriously and improves upon their designs to exceed customers’ expectations. The tongue has been completely redesigned and is not only comfortable, but stays in place thanks to both the material and the fold-over-the-laces design. Speaking of laces, these have also been updated so that they no longer have a propensity for coming undone even when double-knotted, as previous laces had. And last, but certainly not least… the reinforced the toe box. Previous versions resulted in holes where your big toes are, oftentimes only after a handful of long runs. Best Endo Pro Yet

I’m super impressed with the updated Pro 4. The upper feels barely-there and the toebox is more accommodating so you can actually wear your true length now instead of sizing up. The tongue is great - I found that folding the very top part over before I tie the laces gives the perfect extra layer needed to prevent lace bite. The foam is super responsive but more forgiving than versions 1-3 once broken in (about 10mi or so). I feel that these are actually smoother and more fun and versatile than the Elite with better traction, better road feel and more “leg-saving”. I foresee wearing these from 1/2 marathon to ultra distances.

Bring back the Endorphin Pro 3

This new version is not an improvement. I loved the Endorphin Pro 3, but the Pro 4 version doesn’t work for me at all! The Pro 4 is heavy and unresponsive and lacks the springy bounce of the Pro 3. The Pro 4 feels more like a trainer than a carbon plated racing shoe. The Pro 4 is also weirdly wide in the heel. I couldn’t keep this shoe from slipping off my right heel. The color way is nice.

Fast, but not standing up to mileage

I purchased these shoes a few months ago. They have had fairly heavy use since (circa 80k per week). Relative to my earlier shoes (Asics) I have seen premature wear and tear to the upper and some chunks out of the sole. Also found they are not at all grippy in wet conditions. The rebound is great, but considering the overall performance I would not buy again

Great with small issue

I bought my shoes an about a month ago. Did a couple of 4 mile runs before wearing them for a Ironman (marathon run). I wear ankle socks for ease in transition. The shoes for the run were great. They performed well and were happy with them in that aspect. The reason reduced star is due to the tongue flap popping up and rubbing my skin. At the end of the run I was rubbed raw. I may end up cutting off that flip part of the tongue or just wear long socks in the future. Either will fix the problem but could have been avoided with a better design.

My new favorite shoe!

I am so excited that I tried this shoe. I'm normally an "Endorphin Speed" girl, but I liked the previous model more than the newest model. I was hesitant to try the new Pros because I didn't love the Pro 3's.The tongue drove me nuts. It got sucked back into the shoe less than a minute after I put the shoe on...even before I started running. It made them very uncomfortable. They completely fixed this issue in the Pro 4. It is absolutely my new favorite running shoe. I love it so much that, even though it's more expensive, I'll probably use it for my everyday training runs (in addition to speed and race days). It's super springy & surprisingly comfortable. I didn't think about my feet at all during my 5 mile run yesterday.

I’ve done a half marathon and a couple tempo runs in these and I am in love.They’re by far the most comfortable running shoes I’ve ever worn. I underpronate and have a hard time finding shoes that are supportive and don’t make my feet hurt. These are it!my only con so far is they got soaked through at the slightest bit of rain, quicker than any other running shoe I’ve worn, but based on how breathable they are I guess that’s to be expected.
