As with one other commenter here, you will very most likely want to buy one waist size down, Active Flex is ridiculously flexible. I shoulda listened to that one commenter. Instead of a return, will wash a couple times in very hot water and do hot dries. Also had to sew shut the button hole to size it down close to 1/2 inch. Hopefully the second hot wash gets them down to a reasonable waist size. These jeans will be more for just wearing at home for comfort. The denim material is also more lightweight, which would be good for hot summer days.

I wear wrangler jeans everyday. I have worn 13MWZs much of my life and have recently made the flex version the basic of my wardrobe. I was skeptical at first that this jean would be tough enough to hold up around the ranch and it endures well. I find myself choosing it much more often for the comfort. I did choose one size smaller than the non-stretch. It fits great and feels great. I am a loyal wrangler fan.

These regular fit dark wash Wrangler 13MAFPW Active Flex jeans are very comfortable and run larger than the Wrangler cotton 13MWZ Cowboy Cut jeans. They have a cotton/polyester stretch blend and the fabric is lighter than cotton jeans. Plenty of room in the legs, thighs and rear with good quality stitching. Since I normally wear a 34X34 in Wrangler 13MWZ jeans, I recommend sizing down one size in the waist. 33x34 is the perfect fit for me. Good looking quality item from Wrangler.

I have these that fit great like original cowboy cut are supposed to, these were not cut the same even though they were the same size and supposed to be the original cowboy cut. They fit very tight throughout the legs more like they were cut to the slim cut pattern. Unfortunately I had to return them. This review applies only to these particular jeans. The other pair I have fit great and are my favorite jeans to wear.
I bought these cause they were supposed to be the same fabric percentages of my favorite stretchy Levis. Not only are they not nearly as stretchy the Levis but the fabric percentages on the pants are not the same as advertised even though they are the same model number. Would have given them 3 stars but there were a bunch of loose threads hanging off the seams i had to cut with scissors. But still $25 cheaper than the Levis.
When I ordered these jeans they were shown with the Active Flex jeans of which I have several pair that are 76% cotton, 22% polyester and 2% spandex. So I assumed that these jeans were the same material but when I received them they were 99% cotton and 1% which is not what I wanted. Therefore want to return them at no cost for shipping for a full refund because this was a misrepresentation on your part.
I'm a 36" waist in other Wrangler jeans. 36" waist in WRANGLER® COWBOY CUT® ORIGINAL FIT ACTIVE FLEX JEANS IN PREWASHED INDIGO were way too big - 6" or so. 35" were too big, too - 2". I'll try a 34x34 next. Back pockets barely deep enough for small wallet.
I ordered these about 4 months ago. They were my favorite pair of jeans, I wore them to work and on date nights. They are much more comfortable than the regular cowboy cut, but they already ripped in the crotch area. I just don't understand how they are designed for riding horses, when they cant even ride an office chair for more than 4 months. They are too expensive to have to replace every 4 months. Super frustrating.
I've been wearing Wrangler Cowboy Ridit Originals since the late 70's to current. Not too long ago* I started wearing these Wrangler Flex Jeans. Their absolutely ( Amazing ). These jeans have the right amount of flexability for excellent mobility - true comfort fit - feel & appearence. Classics & comfort are here to stay, Especially for me!
These jeans are 99% cotton and 1% spandex and you wouldn't believer what a difference the 1 % spandex means. The jeans fit perfectly (36-34) and are so comfortable you can wear right out of the bag. I usually wash new jeans at least 5 or 6 times before wearing them. These jeans required only one wash and they're ready to wear. They are the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn and I have been wearing Wranglers for over thirty years.
