I have been wearing Birkenstocks for the last 34 years and I have ALWAYS worn the same size. These sandals are marked as the same size I wear but are far too small. They fit my daughter whose shoe size is 1.5 sizes smaller than mine. You cannot even attribute it to being a different style because I own the exact sandal in another color and they fit perfectly. It leads me to believe they may not be authentic Birks.

This pair broke in really fast, which turns out to be a bad sign. In months, they are more worn out than my last pair in years of use. I’ve been waiting to exchange them but they’ve been out of stock. Will be sure the next pair doesn’t feel so soft, both in the cork footbed and the strap. Since they’ve worn so odd, I’ve gotten blisters on the bottom of my feet. Can’t wait to exchange them.

I ordered these in silver size 37 - I normally wear a 6 or 6.5 in sandals. The fit is spot on and the color is great, BUT the toe-post is hard plastic and not comfortable. I will keep them because they are the look I wanted, but I will not be able to wear them for long periods of time because they eventually start hurting between the toes. A leather toe-post would be much better.

I am still breaking in these Birkenstocks, however they are already comfortable after only a couple of wears - (traditionally Birkenstocks need a couple of wears to feel like you're walking on clouds, I'm told). They look good and feel good and importantly my foot feels very supported. Simple. A good buy.I would like to make mention of the excellent service I received from 'Styletread'. I had to exchange the original pair I received as they did not feel right. I spoke with Kimberley from Customer Care at Styletread. She was friendly, polite and courteous and eager to help me with the process. I sent my original pair back and 2 days later received the replacement. Well done to Styletread.
These are very good shoes with full arch support and were recommended by my podiatrist. My problem is that I have long toes, so the front edge was uncomfortable. There is a slight rise/lip at the front of the shoe that rubbed the bottom of my toes. I was already in the largest size, so no option to size up.This is an excellent shoe, it just didn't work for me. Highly recommend, especially if you have plantar faciitis.
The Gizeh Birko was the best purchase I have made for a while. Took a couple of days to break in but most comfortable shoes.I would like to commend the team for calling me after my purchase online to confirm my order details., which I have never received from any other store.Well done. Feels great! One of the few shoes i can wear right out of the box all day long. Pretty much all i wear in six different colors. You do have to be accustomrd to thong type shoes or you may not like. I've worn flip flops all my life so no problems. Find you size in eu sizing and ignore US sizes works best for me. US sizes can be all over the place but find EU sizes to be more reliable. In US size normally wear 7n however the EU size 37 consistently fits in Birkenstock and other shoes that offer EU sizing.
I love Birkenstock and I have been wearing them for about 30 yrs. When I was still working I usually wore regular shoes. When I got home after work the first thing I did was put on some Birkies. I can't tell you how good they felt. I have a little bit of an issue with the manufacturers. They changed the sizing. I have always wore a 37 which was a 7-7.5 . The pair I just received from QVC is a 38: that's what the chart indicated. They don't fit as well as they should, my toes and my arches are not where they should be in the footbed.
After the neighbor's dog ran off with my last pair, I immediately bought another. Theser sandals are comfy and practical. I can't live without these in the summer/spring/fall. I will not be leaving these outside my door this year.! One pair is enough for the dog.
Love my new Birkenstocks! Great service from Styletread they arrived promptly and were exactly as pictured on the website. I have a fairly narrow foot and my usual size(40) fitted perfectly in the Gizeh style. The Black Friday sale reduction was a bonus, I’ll definitely be shopping with Styletread again!
