Bollinger is synonymous with high quality Champagne. The house stands apart by doing things a little differently to most other producers in the region. One of the ways they stand apart is by fermenting their base wines in oak casks. This results in fizz with complex creamy and spicy flavours. To make the highly-esteemed Special Cuvée, grapes are predominately picked from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. And if that wasn't luxurious enough, the wine is then aged for double the legal requirement, so expect nothing less than excellence in every sip. Rich. Ripe. Powerful. These velvety complex bubbles have aromas of roasted apple, walnut and spice, with flavours of pear, biscuit and toasted brioche.

I am not a big champagne fan, finding most of what I have tasted in the past to be highly overrated and wondering what all the fuss is about in having champagne. However my two grownup kids treated me to a bottle of this Bollinger for my 70th birthday recently and I have to say that it is exceptionally good. I dont know, never having tasted any, whether true vintage champagnes taste anything like this or better, but if they do then I take back everything Ive thought about champagne. This is truly a fine celebratory drink and worth every pound of its price just to enjoy its delicate but special flavour. For me this champagne is streets ahead of others in its price range. If you are looking for a good champagne, havent tried Bollinger and might be a bit sceptical ... MoreI am not a big champagne fan, finding most of what I have tasted in the past to be highly overrated and wondering what all the fuss is about in having champagne. Unusual compared with many champagnes. If you like holly try Louis rodderer or Laurent Perrier. Rick stein also does a good blanc d blanc which is a fair imitationBolly is expensive and worth it. I bulk buy when on offer either here or Waitrose.

A delicious champagne to suit those who enjoy a lighter flavour profile. It's all personal preference of course - if you prefer a more brioche, vanilla butter flavour then other brands may better suit. Bolli however always ticks the boxes for an elegant accompaniment for seafood or as a classy aperitif.
This is the best champagne at affordable prices by far. There are many cheaper but Bollinger is well worth the extra. From the pop of the cork, the fruity aroma from the thousands of golden bubbles filling the flute and the unmistakable flavour of the smooth, light, velvety taste of pear, fruits, with a slightly spicy, nutty taste. Very quaffable. Goes extremely well with fish, seafood and white meat. Always our favourite, must have Christmas turkey accompaniment to tempura prawns or sushi on the beach summer drink. Our family favourite.
The most distinctive flavor in any champagne that I have enjoyed. Intensely fruity (ripe apples?) on the initial flow across the tongue with small bubbles tingling along the tip. A very enjoyable sensual experience. Finish is incredibly smooth with a lingering taste and feel that deliciously beckons another mouthful. Beautiful rich amber to golden color; substantial structure; elegant bottle and label; wholly enjoyable. Serve with pride and enjoy the ride.
I purchased this pack to have on my 70th birthday because i fell in love with the glasses. The delivery was prompt. The boxed presentation was as displayed online, just beautiful.I don't really want to open it but tomorrow is my birthday so i will finally get to try those lovely glasses and the bubbly.
I purchased the Chandon Garden Spritz and Chandon Brut as a gift for my sons partner. She loved it !! I live in Scotland, they live in Melbourne. The ordering process was straight forward and the delivery was quick. Will definitely use Secret bottle again.
Unfortunately Ocado has let me down with an unacceptable explanation and solution. I ordered 8 bottles of Bollinger at ¬£56 each less 25%. This should have rendered each bottle at ¬£42 still expensive but at least less than ¬£56 each! The promotion says a limit of 18 bottles per customer. it does not state in. Multiples of 6 i.e. 6/12/18. I ordered 8 and was charged 6 @ ¬£42 and 2 @ ¬£56! It doesnt end there the receipt states 8 @ ¬£45.50??? Misleading or what it should state 6 @ ¬£42 and 2 @ ¬£56. I was contacted by an agent who has said he will arrange collection of the 2 bottles!!! Really the inconvenience, the misleading representation - I am expecting a refund of ¬£112 who would pay that much for fizz anyway!! I will wait and see ? Added to which Ocado have ... MoreUnfortunately Ocado has let me down with an unacceptable explanation and solution. I ordered 8 bottles of Bollinger at ¬£56 each less 25%. I've tried numerous bottles and half bottles of Bollinger over the years and never been impressed. It swings wildly from harsh and overly acidic to the bottle I got unusually cheap at Asda. The cheapest deal on Bollinger anywhere, so I thought why not grab a bottle for a nice occasion. This time it tasted quite noticeably watered-down and bland. Suspiciously watered-down, especially considering the unusually low price. Made me genuinely wonder what kind of special deal Bollinger have made with Asda.
