Cardo Pack Talk Slim is a Great Choice.
9 August 2021

The Cardo Pack Talk Slim has been a very good motorcycle Bluetooth system. After about three thousand miles of use I am very satisfied with its performance. Voice commands work well. Volume is good enough to enjoy music at freeway seeds. Making and receiving calls was easy. Pairing with other riders was easy and quick. The installation was straight forward. The slim control profile pretty much eliminated wind noise which I had experienced on some Sena units I had. Good battery life for a full day of riding.

Complicated, awkward instructions, good speaker sound.
6 July 2021

The Cardo Slim has pretty good speakers, JBL. The boom mic works well enough on my Z1R Nomad helmet that my wife was able to hear me very wellin a phone conversation. The FM radio receiver does not seem to be able to scan in very many stations though. When the FM is playing however, the clarity is crystal clear as is the music mode. I have not used the unit in the road as yet so, I cannot review the actual purpose of the units. The pieces were simple enough to install. But, the way the boom mic is designed to grab hold and stick to your helmet liner is pretty cheap and I lost a clip on day one. It is not replaceable part per Cardo Support so, it is stuffed into a pocket on my helmet neck curtain for now. It is extremely complicated to understand even how to turn it ... MoreThe Cardo Slim has pretty good speakers, JBL. The Cardo Connect software is very unimpressive and of little help. Seems I must turn it off to get back to other screen. Setup instructions that came with it are awful. Very vague images showing fingering of buttons. There are as many combinations of button presses as there are card game hands. Might never fully understand how to use this thing. But, I hope it is better that using hand gestures and yelling to let my wife know that I have to stop for gas etc. Using on 2007 BMW K1200GT for now.

The batt. actually rubs against my jacket, catching every so often which can be annoying. I need to make it down to Cycle Gear to seek help and explore options, cause right now, I'm not impressed with fitment for the price and ready to switch over to a Sena or scrap the whole idea.I know this whole review is really negative, but this is the current state I'm in. I know that the unit is actually very nice, so I hope that the spacing and alignment issue will be resolved. I will give a new review once and if I get things squared away.

Greatest com in the market.
29 May 2022

Definitely the best intercom system in the market and slim version is the easiest to use while riding. Sena is water resistant while thistle is waterproof. What more do I need to say? JBL(same company as harman kardon) speakers are great, quality of the product is great, what is better the warranty. I had an issue with my product after almost 2 years and contacted XLMOTO, I sent them the broken part and they sent me back a brand new part to replace it. Now it works perfectly again. Glad I went for Cardo and XLmoto.

SLIM is Big Performance
3 November 2021

Pros: Waterproof. Good volume. Microphone eliminates road noise. Intuitive App & Easley connection to others. Long battery life. Sleek design. Cons: Boom mic came loose after 2,500 mile trip. It held when reattached with 3M tape. Comment: A friend with the BOLD had static from loose connection on base. The SLIM does not have that connecting point.

Soso on the quality of the sound.
5 October 2020

With JBL supplying the speaker drivers, I was hoping for a higher fidelity sound. Unfortunately, there are other factors that effect the quality of the sound. Before installing I listened to the speakers when they were directly centered over my ear canals. Pretty impressive. But when installed in the helmet recesses for speakers, the sound lacks balance in The spectrum of sound lost a significant amount of clear bass. So, if your ears line up with the helmet designed recesses I think you will experience higher fidelity sound. Unfortunately we are not all blessed with the same anatomy. I will recommend this product for it’s ease of use and flexibility of sharing music.
