I cried when I tried these on for the first time. I've always been a huge fan of converse because I love how they look, but as someone with wide feet, I used to have to size up and I have always endured a painful and long breaking in process. I’ve worn size 10 in chucks for years (I wear an 11.5 in Nike) and they were always making my feet cramp by the end of the day. I went to an outlet to try on 10.5, and those were too long. So I made the decision to purchase at 60. At the outlet I also noticed that all classic All Stars had a new liner on the inside, not just canvas. It seems like a softer cotton was stitched on the inside. It also feels more comfy when slipped on. So I was a fan of my black pair, just not the white pair. I was majorly disappointed when the white all star arrived without a liner. So I love the look of these shoes BUT they are not very comfy?For me anyway. Since converse run big, I tried two different sizes, 1 whole size smaller and a half size smaller. The whole size smaller did not fit me at all and my feet would slip out when walking. For the half size smaller my heel still slips out a little bit but not as much. So it seems depending on your feet, these may not fit well no matter what size you get. I'm going to keep the half size smaller just cuz I want pink shoes. Maybe I'll break them in and they'll get better.

Long time Chuck wearer. I love these shoes and they are perfect for my old lady orthotics and arch supports since they have flat bottoms. Giving four stars because the tongue is too long and it rubs the front of my ankle. I compared with an older pair and the tongues weren’t always this long so I’m not sure when they thought lengthening that was necessary but I wish they’d shorten it again. I work around it by tying the laces BEHIND the tongue to keep it away from the skin but it would be cool to not have to worry about front ankle blisters. Still, I’ve been wearing these for too long to give up on them. Would buy again, I’ll just whine about the tongue when I do.
My first pair of Converse platforms and I love them! I was a little concerned they'd feel heavy and I'd have to learn to walk around in them, but it wasn't the case at all! They are a tiny bit heavier than most all my other tennis shoes, but nothing major.. hardly noticeable.They're cute, cushiony, comfortable, and really do go with well with a variety of outfits. I liked them so much that I decided to get the high top version in white as well and am looking forward to getting them in other colors too!On me they were true to size and even though my feet are just a touch wide, I experienced no pinching or other issues.
The gray converse I ordered are very comfortable. The platform style suits me better than the lower converse shoe. It has more support to me than the standard converse shoe. However, when I received my order, I did have to clean off the shoestrings on both shoes and the packaging was horrible. The tissue paper on the inside was crumbled up, and the box itself was totally torn and tattered. I like to keep my shoes in the box for easier storage.I expected more fromNordstrom.
I marked these true to size since the size chart recommends sizing down. I usually wear a 9.5W shoe and got these in a solid 9W. They are PERFECT in every way: 1. They are the most beautiful shade of a bubblegum/hot pink. 2. They are very comfortable! 3. They have the tab that keeps the tongue of your shoe in place. You know that little piece of fabric under your laces that you weave the laces through? Why do some converse NOT have that anymore? It bothers me so much when the tongue of a high top is all the way to the side. Anyways, get these shoes. Highly recommend 🩷

Length was perfect but the heels were rubbing when I tried them on and I noticed that the 6.5 had stitching in the inner back of the heel that the 7s and 7.5s didn't have. I have worn Chuck Taylor's since I was a kid. I love the platform style because it just simply pops and it's just as comfortable as all of my other Chuck Taylor's. I have at least 12 different Chuck's now in all different colors. My husband has several also and loves them as much as I do. What I really love is there is no age limit. They are timeless. What other shoe can say that? It's too bad Chuck Taylor died so young. Not only did he end up with two Basketball Hall of Fame inductions but a Sporting Goods Industry Hall of Fame induction as well. And it all started in 1922 with simply asking for a better shoe... and he became a household name! Now that's a legacy! I think he would be pretty proud.
Runs slightly large (I normally wear a 9, but ordered 8.5 and fit is perfect with socks on). Comfortable to wear for long periods of time and go with everything. BEWARE the laces though, the quality is absolutely awful. Very thin and snap/fray quickly. I had this shoe less than a week and the lace snapped when tying them up. It is odd as this is 2nd time I’ve ordered this shoe and don’t recall the quality being this bad - take note Converse! However, I went onto Amazon and ordered Converse White Shoe Laces 45 Inches and they are FAR superior. See photo: left shoe has the original laces (thin and cotton); right shoe has the new Converse lace ordered on Amazon (thicker and stretchy). You’ll thank me later! :)
