Honestly love it, especially the pockets on the straps at the front. I have a large phone and it fits with ease. The only area for improvement would be how the bag closes at the top, I would prefer the option to clip down either side of the bag rather then to itself. It's functionally fine, but looks 'wrong' for a lack of a better word, when the bag is not completely full.

I have been climbing and mountaineering since the early '90s. I have used lots of packs. Usually, a light pack means a painful pack once you put weight in it. This one finally breaks that mold. It is the most comfortable pack I have ever carried even when it's full of mountaineering gear. The shoulder straps call to mind those light comfortable running vests and they do not disappoint. The sleeves in the shoulder straps make it so easy to access water, phones, maps, snacks, or other small things while on the move.In addition to being comfortable, the pack is well thought out. It has all the features I want without being cluttered with too many frills. Removable top pocket? Check. Secure pocket for wallet and keys? Check. Secure ice axe holders? Check. So far I've only carried it around the neighbourhood with 4 ropes stashed inside. It carries well and feels comfortable. I love the feature set, especially the ultra harness. This lack has everything I want in an alpine rock and ice pack; detachable floating lid, lightweight, rope strap, tool carry, ample room, not so tall that my helmet bumps the lid.

My wife and I bought this pack in the men’s and women’s version to go on a three day rock climbing course. The course involved hiking to the cliff which made this pack very comfortable. It’s lightweight design yet still able to hold all our gear was great. The colors stand out and bright. Would highly recommend this pack. Next adventure is bringing these pack ice climbing.
This is bar-none the ultimate multipitch backpack. I compared this to probably a dozen other vest-style 15ish liter backpacks on the market and although there are some good alternatives, this one just has it all. The designers thought of everything, and every competitor pack is missing at least one of these things: Comfy vest style straps with 4 roomy pockets (bars, radio, phone, extra water), tons of adjustability on those straps, slight elastic within the straps for insane mobility, tons of breathability, very durable nylon made for scraping against rocks, 3 points of contact for strapping a rope on top (which carries very comfortably for such a small backpack!), side access to both the main pocket and an extra pocket which allows you to get things out of the pack ... MoreThis is bar-none the ultimate multipitch backpack. I honestly can't think of anything that would make it better as a multipitch climbing backpack. It also has ice axe holders which double as trekking pole holders if you use those, which is very nice for people who do.
I have experimented with various running/hiking vests and have found the Trion Norwand 15 to be ideal. The toploading approach and cinching system work well. However, the real benefit of this pack is the side zippers. The right zipper is a separate pocket for go to items, while the left zipper lets you enter the pack to stuff in a jacket etc. The two front pockets are a little small, but I found that 250 ml water bottles fit perfectly.
- Materials: excellent. Bag is super lightweight but the fabric make it feels strong.- Versatile: what I was looking for was a backpack that I could use both on small outings and on longer and more demanding excursions. And this perfectly meets this need, the bag is customizable and can be squizzed. For now I used it in three ferrate, using the helmet holder by Mammut and two long excursionsThe backpack is incredibly comfortable on long paths and has the right amount of space and pockets.
I use this for all of my day hikes whether just a couple hours or an all day affair. It handles my 3 liter CamelBak reservoir perfectly with plenty of room for extra snacks and a little gear It's probably a bit too small to pack much extra for inclement weather but in my area weather surprises are rare so it's perfect. I've completely replaced my former, and larger day pack with this. It could be nice to have another external pocket, but it's so comfortable I don't care.
First, let me say I am a connoisseur of small packs. I am willing to adjust my packing to use a smaller pack. This one is the best small pack I have ever used. Mammut incorporated ideas from running vests and climbing packs to create an incredibly versatile, functional, and comfortable pack. With some creative packing strategies, I can strap a rope to the pack and get everything I need into it for a summer alpine climb. I can stuff it with food and an extra layer for those all-day trail runs. I can throw ski crampons, skins, food water, and a puffy it for fitness skimo laps at the resort. I can even get a probe and shovel in for spring ski tours. For such a small pack, it is packed with useful features. The other side zipper gets into the main pack making it easy to get to anything in the main pack without unpacking the pack. It also has a secure key and wallet pocket on the inside. It carries like a running vest: secure and comfortable - even if you happen to be running that long alpine approach. I love this pack!
I love this pack. I bought it as a fill in for the longer trail runs that a vest can’t fit enough and a day pack is too much. This baby hits the sweet spot. Great for 4-5 hour trail runs and fits like a dream the whole time. Finally a pack I can use and not have to choose between bringing a wind shell or freezing because I don’t want to bring a bulky day pack. Fits like a vest and hauls like a day pack. Perfect!
