Most people don't make a routine out of a physically demanding activity that requires persistent effort to get any good at. Even fewer do that just for fun. I am glad to see New Balance is accepting reviews again! 860s are fantastic sneakers! I have a pair in the light green that I bought from a New Balance store in my area. The salespersons were very helpful. They did not have 9 Wide, which I thought was my size - I tried the 10 Wide and guess what - they fit me much better than the 9 Wide. I was right on the edge with the 9 Wide, so by accident I found out I am a 10 Wide (simply because they did not have 9 Wide in the store), which gave me some extra width that I need as well as little extra length. Anyway, these are wonderful sneakers, SO comfortable and wonderful cushioning. 860s and 880s are my favorites! They are the best out of any sneakers I ever had!

I need a shoe with stability due to spinal stenosis. The NB860 is a great shoe for this issue.Do I miss wearing cute sandals, flats and flip flops? Yes I do and I can wear flats but not for hours on end. I buy the 860 in different colors so I can coordinate them with what I am wearing. I will be 76 years old next month and want be able to walk without assistance(cane; walker) for as long as possible. I believe this shoe is helping me with that.

I have purchased the fresh foam 860v11 for years now and was sad to find they are no longer sold. I was hesitant to try a new version of the fresh foam but decided to give it a try. So far, I find these shoes to be extremely comfortable. I have always used these shoes as everyday shoes but have started using these for walking as well and find them to be perfect. I have bad knees for a young age so it is important I find a shoe that is very supportive and keeps my ankles form rolling. I feel these shoes have done a great job of that. Sizing is spot on, took a few days for the shoe to form to my foot as I have wide feet but I feel it is true to size. Also, I love the color. They do get dirty at the front of the shoe but they spot clean very easily. 100% recommend!

I bought these for my daughter in March 2023 - they were the best fit in store & she found them very comfortable. They just haven't lasted though. The soles still look fine but they are incredibly scuffed up around the toe box & very worn around the ankle. The foam lining is clearly visible around the ankle area. The only sport she does in these is weekly PE lessons. The rest of the time is just general school wear. This is incredibly disappointing for a pair of adult sneakers that cost over $200. I wouldn't recommend them for daily wear.
I got hooked on New Balance shoes after I started walking (in earnest to lose weight) in 1998. When I buy a pair that really fits and is comfortable I immediately buy the same shoe at least once, sometimes more. Dang I was stuck on 1223’s for years. I had so many pairs waiting in the closet. My last pair of 880’s were showing wear so I stopped to buy another pair. While there I tried on some 860’s and loved the way they fit. It’s all about the tongue! It’s sewn to the insides of the shoe, which seems to steady my foot-balance wise. I had them about a month and noticed they were on sale and in a different color. Win-win. I love them…
The NB 860 in a D width is my go to shoe and has been for YEARS (devoted 860 fan).Years ago, I kept getting cramping when I was running and got the advice from a running room employee to choose a D width shoe. I have been in these shoes since version 3 or 4 and keep coming back. The V13 has a nice thick cushion and is very comfortable/absorbs a lot of shock when running. The way the shoes tie up feels nice and snug, and the lacing system feels like my foot is very secure.I had an issue with the v12's where my normal size didn't fit so I waited until the v13's came out and these fit like a glove!I'll be back for v14 when these wear out!
Lovely pair of shoes that have so much support, particularly for my wider and flatter feet. Have done further distances in them with no pain unlike my previous pair that I had bought online without a gait analysis. Had a lovely experience finding the right pair in Run4it Dundee. The staff were so immensely knowledgeable and definitely cared more about what were perfect for your feet rather than what was trending or most expensive. I had a great experience and will definitely be shopping in store again.
I have a narrow foot 2A. Without exaggeration I have been buying the 860 series for at least the last 14 years. They have been reliable except for around 2012 to 2014 where the sole was thinner and hurt my feet. My podiatrist said the style of sneaker was a good practice builder. Anyway I buy a new pair every year. About 2017 when it began to be stylish, I bought the black color out of the very limited choice of colors for narrow width. For 3yr I wore black. Then for the past 4-5 yrs the only other choice was the light blue. I 've purchased that color for the past 4 yrs. Sick of the choices, and it seems that the only choice is the black recently. I have watched the parade of cool color choices for med and wide widths over the yrs. You have to be able to increase ... MoreI have a narrow foot 2A. Then make the limited color choices from the ones w med and wide widths- NOT BLACK OR POWDER BLUE! UGH!
I’ve been wearing this model for years, and v13 is easily my least favorite. Ugly, clunky sole with an overall “orthopedic” look. Why is the tongue connected to the sides of the shoe? Weird. The collar also feels lower and stiffer, and it hits my ankle at an uncomfortable point. I really miss v12, and have unfortunately worn both of my pairs completely out. Hopefully v14 arrives soon and is an improvement
