I have these in Water Battle. The color and style are really unique. I love the confetti looking sole- the green, yellow, blue, and white really fun. The yellow Nike swoosh connects in the back and continues to the other side of the shoe. Pretty cool! Love the green laces too.As for comfort- super comfy. Feels like my feet are in a padded pillow. I don't like right lacing and I can definitely wear these loose but my feet still feel secure in them. Three some are super grippy. No slipping or tripping with these.I also love the cutoff on my foot when wearing these. Certain sneakers can make my legs look short depending on how high the tongue goes up on the foot, but these hit just right and accents my ankle and leg perfect.Overall I really like the shoe. It is a rare day when a pair of shoes arrive at my house and fit without issues, but the JA1 shoes did just that! We loved the colorful design with coordinating laces.My son was excited about the style as we unboxed them, but I held my breath as they looked wider than he can usually wear without heel slippage, yet once on, they snugged around his feet great without even needing to pull the laces overly tight. The colors and design of the shoe are really cool. These are his most worn sneakers lately due to the eye catching details and colors, which are his favorite. The bright blue, green, and orange give it a very unique and trendy look. The only thing he didn’t like so far is that they seem a little bit tight near the toes. He doesn’t have a particularly wide foot, so maybe it could be we just need to go up a size, but I feel they run narrow in the toe area. I explained to her that that is Ja Morant's little girl and that he likes to bring her out on the court after games and that she helps take his game-worn shoes to fans in the crowd after he signs them. She thought that was pretty neat.She agreed that the material used to make the shoes felt very durable. She liked the feel of the soles of the shoes and said that they seemed to help stabilize her while walking. I figured a lot of that also had to do with the width of the soles as well, which I also explained to her--seem to be greatly designed shoes for basketball (obviously) as they would help keep the wearer from rolling their ankles on quick cuts.What she liked most about the shoes was, as previously mentioned, all of the small details and the bright colors used in the design. It's easy to forget sometimes as users of sneakers, just how much thought and time is put into the design of the shoe and if you take the time to really check the sneakers out that you buy, you might be surprised some of the little 'easter eggs' you might find, this pair included! As you might have guessed, the one thing she would change about this shoe if she could, would be the width of the forward half of the shoe. With her being a 10-year old, however, I wouldn't expect her to realize the purpose of that more likely being for utility rather than aesthetics.Overall, I would definitely recommend these shoes for grade school kids that love to be active and especially for those that enjoy playing basketball. They will indeed help to provide proper support for their ankles and stability while running down the court or just running around in a field. My feet can tend to get hot and sweaty when being so active, but having breathable shoes helps dry my feet so they don’t become hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable. These are well made shoes. The only thing I don’t like as much is that white gets dirty easily. I think the contrasting colors will help keep these shoes looking pretty good even though they are primarily white shoes. Awesome job!
In my daughter’s words, these shoes are “super basketball shoes”! She put them on right away and they immediately became her go-to shoe for playing, biking and running. Although the JA1 are her first pair of big kid Nike shoes, she now imagines herself to be a great basketball player and enthusiastically plays ball with her friends.I appreciate how easily the JA1 shoes clean up.
