The yellow Nike swoosh connects in the back and continues to the other side of the shoe. Pretty cool! Love the green laces too.As for comfort- super comfy. Feels like my feet are in a padded pillow. I don't like right lacing and I can definitely wear these loose but my feet still feel secure in them. Three some are super grippy. I explained to her that that is Ja Morant's little girl and that he likes to bring her out on the court after games and that she helps take his game-worn shoes to fans in the crowd after he signs them. She thought that was pretty neat.She agreed that the material used to make the shoes felt very durable. She liked the feel of the soles of the shoes and said that they seemed to help stabilize her while walking. I figured a lot of that also had to do with the width of the soles as well, which I also explained to her--seem to be greatly designed shoes for basketball (obviously) as they would help keep the wearer from rolling their ankles on quick cuts.What she liked most about the shoes was, as previously mentioned, all of the small details and the bright colors used in the design. It's easy to forget sometimes as users of sneakers, just how much thought and time is put into the design of the shoe and if you take the time to really check the sneakers out that you buy, you might be surprised some of the little 'easter eggs' you might find, this pair included! As you might have guessed, the one thing she would change about this shoe if she could, would be the width of the forward half of the shoe. With her being a 10-year old, however, I wouldn't expect her to realize the purpose of that more likely being for utility rather than aesthetics.Overall, I would definitely recommend these shoes for grade school kids that love to be active and especially for those that enjoy playing basketball. They will indeed help to provide proper support for their ankles and stability while running down the court or just running around in a field. The colorful laces tie easily, and stay tied! My daughter loves the shoes’ design and has received several compliments on them. The green and blue are her favorite colors and the pattern is playful without being too girly or too plain for her youthful personality.My daughter chooses these shoes first every day. Her only complaint is that sometimes it can be harder for her to slip her heel in the shoe than she’s used to. But she always manages to get them on by herself.These shoes are a winner in our house.
