The Nike Free Metcon 5 White Bright Crimson is a workout shoe that is reinforced with elements to enhance comfort and flexibility for peak performance. This iteration of the Nike Free Metcon 5 is made with a breathable white mesh upper that’s engineered for stretchiness where needed. White overlays make up the toecap and mudguard and run back around the heel. Decorative black stitching attaches the forefoot to the rear part of the shoe, while a small black Nike Swoosh is found under the inner ankle. Bright Crimson accents are found on the top eyelets, as well as on the heel support. The tongue features a pull tab with Nike Free branding, and another Nike Swoosh in Bright Crimson is found vertically on the lateral side of the midsole under the ankle. The shoe’s midsole is chunky and white for extra support, and the outsole is black and white. What stands out about this workout shoe are the Bright Crimson accents, which provide welcome pops of color to the otherwise black and white design. The Nike Free Metcon 5 White Bright Crimson was released on April 6, 2023, for $130.

These are the comfiest shoes I have ever worn. The shoe fits true to size and is nice and snug but not restricting. The shoe fits so well and is great for exercising. I used these during my normal exercise of weight lifting and cardio. Even while jumping and running these shoes stayed snug and did not slip at all. They have great rubber grip on the bottom and the top mesh is nice and breathable. Whenever I exercise I can only marvel at how comfortable they feel. Though I have not worn cross trainers in the past, I will be from this point on given how great these shoes are. Not only are they great for exercise, but they are so comfortable that I wear them for everyday use. The only thing I would change is that the back upper part is a bit high and slightly chafes against your Achilles. An easy fix is to wear thick socks. These shoes are well worth their price, and you will not believe how comfortable they are.

I started going to F45 to incorporate more functional strength and cardio fitness into my workout routine. I historically used my running shoes, which are great for running but unfortunately very lousy for functional workouts. These shoes have changed the game for me. Not only are they incredibly lightweight but they are also very comfortable. The added padding in the back provides additional stability for weight lifting exercises, lunges, burpees and everything in between. Could not recommend these more!

I got recommended to get these by my body building brother. He talked so highly of them. They are stylish, super comfortable, great for working out indoor. I have not tested them for running or outdoor working out. I would definitely recommend going to a shoe store to get your foot size bc i did they came perfect with size 8

I am a 62 year old woman. Two years ago I started taking daily walks. In the beginning it was just a mile or so. I am now up to 2.7 miles. I am always looking for comfortable shoes. While I will be using these shoes mainly for walking, I do feel these would be excellent shoes for anyone who is a runner. I tend to buy black shoes since I walk outside. As an added bonus the black goes nicely with my workout clothes. The laces are long enough to double knot but not too long where you could trip. The fabric of the shoe is breathable. I like that the shoe is lightweight while still feeling very supportive. I know I will get many walks in with my new NIKE FREE METCON 5 shoes.
Out of the box the shoe fit a bit snug, but just a few hours after wearing it began to shape to my foot. I have been wearing these trainers to work as an occupational therapist where I spend 80% of my day on my feet and 4x days at the gym this past week and all I can say is that I am amazed on how my feet feel, I feel grounded and balanced when I walk and during lifting. The soles are soft but not too soft where it becomes an issue and affects your gait, the upper is durable with water resistant outer toe boxes, yet it retains breathability, and the insoles/sole bend and shape to your foot as you walk allowing for a natural comfortable stride. The design is superb as it looks sporty yet sleek and looks good with slacks/jeans or long socks and shorts. I have already highly recommended these to friends at work and at the gym.
First I want to say I love this shoe and it has become one of my favorites. This shoe fits and feels fantastic, the shoes feels pretty comfortable and very responsive. The feel of these shoes gives you a low-to-the-ground feeling while still providing good support. I love the materials incorporated in this shoe, they are extremely comfortable and fit my feet extremely well. I believe these shoes are very stylish and look good with whatever outfit you’ll wear. These shoes are very easy to take on and off. Walking/running or any moment in these shoes is comfortable with the design and flexibility of the shoe’s cushiony sole. This shoe can definitely be worn all day without any problem. Overall, I loved everything about this shoe from the materials to the design to the comfortability. I wouldn't change anything about this shoe and will be buying additional colorways.
I wore the Nike Free Metcon 5 for about a week, both around town in everyday wear/working out and running about 15 miles in total over the week. After running in them a bit I can say they provide good support and toe protection, I was able to switch over from my Brooks running shoes with moderate ease. Being training shoes they don't run as well as a traditional running shoe but can still supplement short runs. For working out the thick sole offers great support and a good firm base for whatever I was doing. Im not an avid gym goer and don't classify myself as a weight lifter. But the shoes were a definite step up compared to my normal shoes I wear to the gym.I work out plus/minus 3 days a week and for about 45 min - 1 hours doing weight workouts, HIIT workouts, ... MoreI wore the Nike Free Metcon 5 for about a week, both around town in everyday wear/working out and running about 15 miles in total over the week. But the shoes were a definite step up compared to my normal shoes I wear to the gym.I work out plus/minus 3 days a week and for about 45 min - 1 hours doing weight workouts, HIIT workouts, and cardio exercises. This shoe worked great for all of it.My main comments were oddly going to and from the gym in the shoe and wearing out and about. I have had a variety of shoes over the years, mainly Nike tennis shoes/running shoes and Brooks running shoes. This was the first shoe to have such a thick "platform"/sole and made walking in them initially a little awkward. Lastly, while I do have a bigger foot (typically fit a 11-11.5 but I am always are more comfortable in a 12) there seemed to more than normal cushion on the roof of the shoe in the toe area. I'm sure you would get used to it, but it was not something I've had in a shoe before, its not that they didn't fit, my foot just felt very snug and secure. (something I noticed right away)Overall I think its a great shoe for the Gym, I would not say its a largely versatile shoe. But the Nike Free Metcon 5 worked great for everything I threw at it and it definitely met my expectations.
First impression was that the shoes ran small/tight. The shoes are actually TTS, but the toe cap is pretty tight when wearing with socks, and it applies pressure on the top of the toes. I’m hoping this will loosen over time. The soles have good grip and are flexible. The material is great, and allows the shoe to be well ventilated. Overall, the shoe is stable enough for strength and weight training, and still flexible for activities such as light running.
OMG I will definitely be ordering other colors. These are so comfortable. I am on my feet all day and these sneakers are more than perfect for me. I highly recommend!!!!! I wear an 8 1/2 but I like the fit better in men size when it comes to Nike sneakers. I ordered a 7 in men.
These bridge the gap between a really good CrossFit shoe and a shoe you can run in. Of course you can run in anything but I found regular Metcons painful while running anything over 400m. They are good for Jumping and stable for lifting. These cover all bases. Not the best running shoe, lifting shoe or jumping shoe but overall they can do everything well.
