Uni POSCA Paint Markers were introduced to the Japanese market in 1983 by Mitsubishi Pencil Co., an innovative manufacturer that had already expanded well beyond its original business of making wood-cased pencils. Like Mitsubishi's other Uni brand products, POSCA quickly swept into shops, offices, and studios worldwide, thanks to its non-toxic, opaque ink that covers and flows like paint—but eliminates the mess, odor, and inconvenient application of other paint markers. POSCA works on pretty much any surface, from paper to metal, so you can use it for art, craft projects, addressing envelopes, marking your name on your lunch, and quite a bit more. These brightly colored markers are popular with graffiti artists and mixed-media painters, schoolteachers and calligraphers. POSCA paint is permanent on porous surfaces like paper and wood, and removable with Windex from non-porous surfaces like glass and metal. This is the POSCA PC-3M, with a fine rounded felt tip that makes neat lines from 0.9 to 1.3 mm, depending on your pressure and writing angle. It's great for drawing, household use, and decorating windows and chalkboards, and it comes in a huge range of color choices. Sold individually—choose your color from the dropdown menu. Also available in a variety of other sizes and shapes. Made in Japan.

My oldest son showed me these in store and was saying how amazing they are. I bought a half dozen and he has been loving them. Really cool and vibrant colors that make their art stand out. I ended up buying another half dozen for my youngest and he's been using them every day. Super pleased with these and the quick shipping from Blick! *****

I LOVE Posca pens! They work great on most all surfaces. Sadly, they don't work on dark surfaces as well as I thought they would from the description. They are still my favorite paint pens. Especially, on lighter porous surfaces. They scratch off of nonporous surfaces unless you bake the item. Even then they can be scratched off pretty easily.

My hobby is painting rocks. In all my arsenal of pens, paints, etc this is my absolute favorite acrylic pen for outlining. It's hard to find an extra fine point tip like this. And I can't find anything similar at other crafting stores. I live in rural NC with no Blick store nearby - I'm thankful for your online ordering capabilities.

These have been a game changer. They're great for straight lines, smaller areas, and can even be used completely on their own. They bring illustration to acrylic. I'm really impressed with them. They seem to have great coverage and so far their lightfastness has been more than acceptable, but that's something harder to see without more time.
I've put off buying these because I already have a gouache set...I figured it would be a waste to get paint pens but BOY WAS I WRONG! These guys lay down paint very well and dry really quickly! They're more convenient then lugging around a gouache palette and don't have as much setup time.Drawback is blending the colors together on the paper... The pen tips will absorb the other color and have to be wiped off a bit. Maybe use a separate brush in that case!

Bought open stock in various colors and tips to try, from fine to chisel and bright colors plus brown. The instructions to bring the paint from the barrel to the tip worked well. They did not bleed through two different brands of multi-media sketchbooks. When they arrived I did a spontaneous sketch and found out they're fun for sketching and doodling. I find they inspire me to put something on paper when I'm blank. Information I've come across says they are not lightfast but haven't tried fixative or any coatings so don't know how that would work. Also, not waterproof though not blendable. Watercolor markers won't cover and they have a matte finish. Curious to see if they really stick on glass? Yes, unlike Sharpies, they don't smear and are easy to apply. Again, not ... MoreBought open stock in various colors and tips to try, from fine to chisel and bright colors plus brown. All Posca markers in this order worked fine. However, all but two were returned. This was not the medium needed, and would not have worked for our projects. Fortunately, seeing and touching these markers gave a feel for the end users to zero in and find the more appropriate highlighters. Thanks to you customer service for directing this purchase to a smaller batch to sample and review, thus avoiding the hassle of buying and returning a bulk quantity.I would prefer my subsequent purchase of simple samples to be sent by more expedient and economical USPS 1st class.
I decided to give the white Posca pen another chance and glad I did. I originally purchased the .07 mm pin tip pen and that did not work the way I was hoping - it was as if there isn't any pigment at all coming out of the tip except for a watered-down fluid, no matter how much I shake it. I decided to try the 0.9-1.3 mm bullet shaped point and that works perfectly for me. I just tried both and the 0.9 bullet tip works great - the other one doesn't.
I recently purchased the Uni Posca Paint Markers - Monotone Colors, Set of 8, Medium Tip, 2.5 mm, and I'm thrilled with the results. The medium tip strikes a perfect balance between precision and coverage, allowing me to create detailed artwork with ease. The monotone color palette is not only aesthetically pleasing but also versatile, offering a cohesive range for various projects. #sweepstakes
