I just wish there was a 1m. I have hundreds of poscas now. I don't experiment with new brands any more. And now I've found Colourverse and their AMAZING price and service I know I can rely on them. I've put off buying these because I already have a gouache set...I figured it would be a waste to get paint pens but BOY WAS I WRONG! These guys lay down paint very well and dry really quickly! They're more convenient then lugging around a gouache palette and don't have as much setup time.Drawback is blending the colors together on the paper... The pen tips will absorb the other color and have to be wiped off a bit. Maybe use a separate brush in that case!
These are amazing! Smooth and bold and just the right amount of paint comes out. I used them to draw a mural on my stairway wall and it’s so bright and colorful. I used the black, the soft pastel colors, fluorescent, and the glitter markers. I’ll be using the metallic color for another wall. Mistakes can be wiped away or painted over easily. I’ll probably end up drawing on ALL the walls in my house!
Bought open stock in various colors and tips to try, from fine to chisel and bright colors plus brown. The instructions to bring the paint from the barrel to the tip worked well. They did not bleed through two different brands of multi-media sketchbooks. When they arrived I did a spontaneous sketch and found out they're fun for sketching and doodling. I find they inspire me to put something on paper when I'm blank. Information I've come across says they are not lightfast but haven't tried fixative or any coatings so don't know how that would work. Also, not waterproof though not blendable. Watercolor markers won't cover and they have a matte finish. Curious to see if they really stick on glass? I decided to give the white Posca pen another chance and glad I did. I originally purchased the .07 mm pin tip pen and that did not work the way I was hoping - it was as if there isn't any pigment at all coming out of the tip except for a watered-down fluid, no matter how much I shake it. I decided to try the 0.9-1.3 mm bullet shaped point and that works perfectly for me. I just tried both and the 0.9 bullet tip works great - the other one doesn't.
There's no better acrylic paint colored markers than Posca markers! I use them for all of my graffiti art projects because the color payoff is hands down the best out there. I buy as many as I can online and pickup in-store whenever Michael's has a 20% off coupon code. The color payoff that Posca markers have are unmatched. You can write or draw with them on any surface and the color vibrancy is always bright and vivid.
