This new Peregrine is pretty much as close to perfect as any trail shoe I've run in. The last Peregrine I had was the 11, and it was fine, if a little stiff and heavy. The 13 is so much lighter, the upper vastly improved, more flexible, and with more give in the forefoot. The cushioning is the revelation here - it feels so much more forgiving and better cushioned, while still having the gorgeous stability of the rock plate. The traction is improved with the new lug pattern, and it still has the terrific lockdown for super technical trails. I've been running in the Xodus Ultra, which I still love for half marathon and longer trail races due to the incredible comfort of the dual density sole, but this is now my absolute go to daily runner for training runs on the ... MoreThis new Peregrine is pretty much as close to perfect as any trail shoe I've run in. Felt pretty comfortable in shop, though a little firmer than used to.Out and about good grip (though not tested much). Overall fairly comfortable but some issues mean they won't be up for much walking. Big toe falls slightly off edge of insole when walking which is irritating and sore, so needs more firm side support cm or so above sole. Heel rubbing too. Neither issues on other shoes I've bought in years - not even Salomons, which podiatrist said sole too narrow for me. Mesh weave very loose - walk on beach filled with sand. Different insoles bit better but still toe issue. Half size up from usual were good length (my size not in stock). Wanted to live them as great sales price, but maybe not such a bargain.

I bought these last month and plan to use them for trekking in Nepal. I guide there and am very familiar with the trail and what I need. I've been putting them to the test in the Rocky Mountains on similar terrain as the trek. These peregrines have good stability on uneven surface and they are grippy on rock which is helpful for descending steep trails. The rock plate for foot protection was important to me and so far I'm happy with that. They are also lightweight but have great cushion. Since they are designed for long distances, I am confident they will withstand the trekking of 130 miles.

My first pair of trail shoes, was nervous I wasn’t going to get “the right” pair my first time ordering online- they are great! Put them through the paces on all kinds if terrain, ran my first trail race in them. Comfortable, fits well, good support and just enough cushion. Will buy more in the future.
Uncomfortable after long walks, causes aches in my feet. I really want to like these shoes for hiking they have great tread. The fit and toe room is great. Unfortunately after wearing them multiple times they still cause my plantar fascitis to act up. I am very disappointed since the other Saucony runners I have are fantastic for my feet.
I first purchased this shoe to years ago to train for walking the Camino de Santiago. I was in Palm Springs for the winter so also used it to hike the surrounding mountains. And to my gym workouts. It’s an all-around shoe that’s comfortable and high performing. I’m now on my 3rd pair.
I've come to love Saucony running shoes but this one is just not for me. I prefer a little more heel-to-toe drop - 4 mm just doesn't seem enough. This is personal taste. The rest of the shoe is great. I'm normally about a size 7. I bought the 7.5 and they were perfect but I don't like my toes to be too closed in and I bought them so I could wear a little thicker sock.
I absolutely have loved the Peregrine line from Saucony. Last year's version was pared down and I called them my forest slippers. The added cushion for the 13's are a game changer for me. I would only run about 10-13 miles in the 12's due to needed more underfoot as far as cushioning. I feel like now there's enough to tackle any distance. Can't beat the traction, and they dry quicker than other trail shoes I've had. I love how they fit in the heel, it gives a locked down sensation that I don't get with other brands without having to tie differently. Kudo's to Saucony for doing their homework and making positive improvements on the Peregrine.
I was looking for a pair of winter runners. I love the traction but shoes are too loose mid foot and toe box. There is also minimal cushion/sole between you and the road. I was even using my custom insoles. Unfortunately, need to return.
I have had four bunion surgeries and like extra toe room in my shoes. These are super lightweight, comfortable, and the tread is great for trail running. For comparison, I wear size 8.5 in Altra Olympus and Lone Peaks, and size 8 in Salomon Speedcross Wide. My Saucony Xodus Ultra and Endorphin Edge are both size 9, and I prefer size 9 in Peregrine 13 as well. I wouldn't say these fit wide, per se, but the upper material is accommodating without being tight.I'm a fan.
