First of all, I absolutely hate gu's. I hate the texture, and can't stand chewing and trying to swallow them during my long runs. Then I was introduced to SIS's isotonic gels. GAME CHANGER! The texture is like melted jello. So easy to take down before or during a long run. And no water is needed! I particularly love the lemon mint flavor because there are extra electrolytes. Plus it tastes like Sprite! The flavor is very neutral and not overpowering like other types of fuel I've tried. It gave me the fuel I needed and it didn't give me any nausea or indigestion. I also really love the flavors with caffeine which gave me that extra boost during my longest runs.

I've eaten my fair share of energy gels in the past when training for triathlons and cycling events. Normally you'd have to chug down a good amount of water to get the gel to down because they're so thick. The last thing you want is a gut full of water sloshing around. But these gels are so thin, you barely need any water! My favorite flavors are apple and tropical. Steer clear of lemon-lime! One thing to note, these packets are larger than your used to.

I'm a Fire Captain that hikes mountains daily. Wild land fires are in places that are steep and hot. SIS is a great thing to have for those times when your low on energy, water and salt. I can only say, I won't ever go into a situation where it's gojng to be a long hard hot fire somewhere on top of some mountain without them. It takes about 2 minutes before you really feel the life come back into yourself. I use a few different energy aides for different situations but as far as an immediate electrolyte this is my go to.

Shared it halfway through a hike and definitely felt a boost in mood and energy! I think having a full one will be really noticeable and I definitely plan to keep one on my for every hike. Some gels are really thick and gross when they get warm but this one was really easy and was easy to eat
I hadn’t tried this brand for awhile so decided to try some of the newer flavours. The positives are that they are a good liquid gel so easy to consume and the flavours were ok on the pallet. No issues on the tummy. There isn’t any real negatives as such, except there are other liquid type gels that I would prefer so they would of have to be extra fab to sway me to buy more.
Very happy with the SiS gels. Personally find they sit well and are a good consistency not requiring water to take which is a real bonus. Flavour wise I got the Vanilla for the first time after trying some of the traditional flavours previously and was impressed. The SiS gels due to their consistency are also quite hydrating, great on warmer days. The only negative aspect is due to the more liquid texture they are on the bulkier side of gels but fit perfectly fine in shorts/belts I have. Highly recommend for people looking to start using gels.
Great go to for a longer run. Don’t need to drink with water but I like to water them down a bit. Great for replacing what you lose in sweat on longer efforts. Gives you good boost.
Even though I’m a lifelong racer I’ve only recently tried gels as a form of fuelling. I am definitely a convert now as I find them so easy to digest and they keep me going on long rides without the need for solid foods. The SIS range all seem to have a fairly neutral taste not too sugary just right
These are my favourite brand of gel, for running and cycling. They are not sickly and sweet like some other brands. Easy to swallow, not too runny and not too gooey, just right.
I am really pleased with this gel. The texture is the best out of all the gels I've tried recently and it gave me a good energy boost. It was 28°c on my run so it was great to have a gel which slid down easily and refreshed me a bit at the same time. I still took this with some water because it was so hot. The only negative is that I had a small stitch for the next half a kilometer. I don't know if this is due to the gel, or the fact I took water with it-or if that was just co-incidence. I'll have to test some more to find out. But overall I'm really happy with this gel. I had the fruit salad flavour which was nice. Looking forward to trying the other flavours now.
