I've tried a few different kinds of gels now including the Gu and Clif brands but the SIS gels are far and away my favorite. I know the texture of these can be a point of contention to some but they're perfect for me. I really love the apple flavor but I even when I bought the variety pack there weren't any flavors that I didn't enjoy. I personally like that they kind of have a gogurt texture that you can easily swallow quickly without any water and I feel like consuming one every hour or so that I'm riding provides sufficient energy. On long rides I usually do also have some Clif Bloks but part of that is I just love the flavor of those as well.

Great product. Taste is good. I like all three flavors. Good balance of electrolytes and easy metabolic absorption. Wish they had caps or make in 30 calorie versions. These can get messy in back pocket while cycling, if they squish out/drip. During endurance biking, 30 calories every 30 minutes is an optimum consumption amount for most riders. I.e. consuming 1/3 of one gel every 30 minutes.

First of all, I absolutely hate gu's. I hate the texture, and can't stand chewing and trying to swallow them during my long runs. Then I was introduced to SIS's isotonic gels. GAME CHANGER! The texture is like melted jello. So easy to take down before or during a long run. And no water is needed! I particularly love the lemon mint flavor because there are extra electrolytes. Plus it tastes like Sprite! The flavor is very neutral and not overpowering like other types of fuel I've tried. It gave me the fuel I needed and it didn't give me any nausea or indigestion. I also really love the flavors with caffeine which gave me that extra boost during my longest runs.

Skip the cherry flavor unless you love cough medicine. Give these a try for sure just not the cherry. For the love of god do not buy the cherry flavor. The other flavors are fine. Consistency is...unique but digestible. Just dont get the cherry flavor.

I've eaten my fair share of energy gels in the past when training for triathlons and cycling events. Normally you'd have to chug down a good amount of water to get the gel to down because they're so thick. The last thing you want is a gut full of water sloshing around. But these gels are so thin, you barely need any water! My favorite flavors are apple and tropical. Steer clear of lemon-lime! One thing to note, these packets are larger than your used to.

Pretty terribly tasting -- imagine jello and berry-flavored cough syrup got married, this gel would be their baby. Luckily, the taste doesn't last longer than 30 seconds. This gel is highly effective however. I can feel the effectiveness of the caffeine within 15 to 30 minutes or so. The packets are a little long and unwieldy to store in the bicycle bento box, but they store in the jersey pockets just fine. I would recommend these over many gel packets for it's pure efficacy.

Shared it halfway through a hike and definitely felt a boost in mood and energy! I think having a full one will be really noticeable and I definitely plan to keep one on my for every hike. Some gels are really thick and gross when they get warm but this one was really easy and was easy to eat

Didn’t mind them

I hadn’t tried this brand for awhile so decided to try some of the newer flavours. The positives are that they are a good liquid gel so easy to consume and the flavours were ok on the pallet. No issues on the tummy. There isn’t any real negatives as such, except there are other liquid type gels that I would prefer so they would of have to be extra fab to sway me to buy more.

Great flavour and texture

Very happy with the SiS gels. Personally find they sit well and are a good consistency not requiring water to take which is a real bonus. Flavour wise I got the Vanilla for the first time after trying some of the traditional flavours previously and was impressed. The SiS gels due to their consistency are also quite hydrating, great on warmer days. The only negative aspect is due to the more liquid texture they are on the bulkier side of gels but fit perfectly fine in shorts/belts I have. Highly recommend for people looking to start using gels.

Very happy with this gel
15 June 2020

I am really pleased with this gel. The texture is the best out of all the gels I've tried recently and it gave me a good energy boost. It was 28°c on my run so it was great to have a gel which slid down easily and refreshed me a bit at the same time.I still took this with some water because it was so hot.The only negative is that I had a small stitch for the next half a kilometer. I don't know if this is due to the gel, or the fact I took water with it-or if that was just co-incidence.I'll have to test some more to find out.But overall I'm really happy with this gel. I had the fruit salad flavour which was nice. Looking forward to trying the other flavours now.
