man this thing is sturdy as hell, i saw someone’s car flip and this thing stayed on Lol. got one for myself and i already love it better than my previous rack which was just a square bar. my kayak has a lot more surface area to sit on now and the rubber strips in the bars are a nice feature. very aerodynamic i can barely hear it when i’m driving!! highly recommend. this is the type of thing you want to splurge on for safety reasons as well, my previous one fell off and there was someone walking on the sidewalk if my kayak would have hit him that would have not ended well. get a quality roof rack like this one.

So I finally bit the bullet purchased a kayak, but since all i have is my Audi Wagon, I needed a roof rack. I knew I wanted to go with a Thule product, and this one stood out since the wing bar is a lot more aerodynamic than the square bars and I figured I'd save money in the long run on fuel efficiency. I needed to order all 3 parts for my car, which the Thule website was able to bundle together for me without issue by selecting my make and model. The assembly took about 2 hours total of me lazily meandering through the instructions and the assembly video produced by Thule. The whole thing could have taken half the time if I wasn't so concerned about getting everything right the first time and making sure measurements were correct. The whole thing could have taken half the time if I wasn't so concerned about getting everything right the first time and making sure measurements were correct. You do need some attention to detail on the foot parts, or at least be able to distinguish the difference in parts which look identical (usually identified by a 5 digit number). The only complaint I have is I was almost mislead by the assembly video where the wing bar itself is facing the wrong direction. Another user commented on the video and Thule did respond saying that a mistake was made, so as long as you notice this, you should have any issue. The Hullaport XT is easy to fit to the bars, and I would highly recommend buying at least a 4-set of locks (wish this came with the product!) for the wing bar rack so no one can nab your new gear. Additional locks are needed if you want to keep the attachments locked on too, but I personally just remove my Hullaport XT when not in use (It literally takes about 2 minutes to attach both securely). I wrote to much now.

Just slow down, make sure your reading the correct directions (the directions include many different types of Thule cross bars), and have a tape measure.I read reviews where others complained about additional noise. I did not experience that.Overall, I am pleased with them. Because I did not have time to research and compare cost versus quality, I gave a 4 rating. I feel the cross bars are a top notch product - just expensive.BTW: they look really sharp!!!!

I got these for a 2021 Subaru WRX. They fit fine and installation was easy despite the fact that the instructions were lacking. The bars have a built in measuring gauge that you are supposed to match up with listed dimensions for your specific vehicle, but those didn't exist. Neither the instructions for the bars nor for the fit kit included these, and no amount of Googling or searching Thule's site came up with anything. It was still easy enough to install, I just had to measure myself and got zero benefit from their built in tool.Unfortunately, these are pretty noisy on my WRX despite double checking everything about the installation. I ended up putting electrical tape across the entire length of the rubber t-slot gasket, which seems to have resolved the issue. ... MoreI got these for a 2021 Subaru WRX. I ended up putting electrical tape across the entire length of the rubber t-slot gasket, which seems to have resolved the issue. That's not a very elegant solution for a hardware system that cost about $700 all-in. I suspect that this has everything to do with the spacing of the bars and the aerodynamics of each unique vehicle in relation to the bars, so I expect other cars to have different results. All that said, the installation was pretty simple, and the bars are very sturdy. I got these so they would be wide enough to carry a canoe on my relatively small car, and they do the trick for that. If they were quieter, I'd be delighted.
Was super excited to get these sleek bars on my new '21 Crosstrek. ...and then came the install. Fitment says they will work for my raised rails. And I guess *technically* they do - if you are okay with your crossbars being about 20" apart. That will not meet my needs as I need a wider spread and more stable base to support a 10.5ft kayak. The underside of the crossbars have a cutout that the feet slide into; however, it only goes in from the ends a certain amount. And that amount is not enough for the feet to slide inward enough since the factory rails taper slightly as you move towards the back of the vehicle. It seems like a very UNversatile design, especially considering Crosstreks are a pretty common outdoorsy vehicle.I had Thule products on my last vehicle ... MoreWas super excited to get these sleek bars on my new '21 Crosstrek. ...and then came the install. It seems like a very UNversatile design, especially considering Crosstreks are a pretty common outdoorsy vehicle.I had Thule products on my last vehicle and would've liked to continue that theme. After more research, I returned the feet, crossbars and locking cores x4 and exchanged it all for a competitor that starts with a 'Y' and rhymes with rackima. Their foot track runs the whole underside of the crossbar - no restrictions. Take a note Thule. They still got some of my money as I kept the pricey but awesome Hullavator system for my kayak.PICTURES: I wanted to put the crossbars at the far front and back of the rails, but that was a 'no'. Even sliding them up right behind the brace didn't work (you can see in the space that's left how much more the foot needed to slide in still, but couldn't). The rear crossbar would have to go in front of the brace to work. Maybe that's okay for a bike, but not for anything long like a kayak.
Not used them yet, still got to attach new roof rails to my car, which will be in a while. I am only writing this now so to stop the constant emails from Ebay about reviewing the Bars. The bars look and feel good, I am only giving 3 stars as I have no idea how they will be when I eventually get to use them. I had square bars before, so I have to change my accessories that I used with my old pair to suit the EVO Wingbars. I can see that the extra bits and pieces are not going to be cheap to buy. When I have used my old roof bars, there has been times I left them on the car for long periods, which may well happen again with these new ones, so hoping the Aerodynamic design of these work as well as claimed.
Excellent quality roof bars, which fit perfectly. If I have a criticism, it's to do with the sheer number of variants available. Thule does an excellent job of catering for the widest possible number of vehicles. The problem comes when one is trying to find an assembly and fitting video of the precise model one has bought. The written instructions are ok, but the modern trend of relying on images without accompanying notes doesn't make things any easier to understand. Anyway, I eventually worked it all out and am immensely impressed with the finished article.
For the price I paid for new bars they should arrive looking new! The bars I received look used. Each have some dents. One of them seems to have been installed on the feet, each end is dirty. How disappointing to spend so much money and not have bars that look brand new. Is this normal? I wouldn’t mind using used bars, I would purchase those first but I paid full price since they didn’t have any. I don’t think it will cause problems. Still going to use them and still recommend them.
WingBar Evo Bars look attractive on my car. They are strong and sturdy. My only complaint is that the rubber strips tend to get loose on car trlps (generally after an hour of driving). Usually when I hear a strange flapping sound, this means one end is loose and flying about in the wind. I stop and reinsert them. Last time, I lost a rubber strip on the highway. Frustrating. It seems like they ought to glue these into place.
The Thule WingBar Evo Load Bars, coupled with the Evo Flush Feet and appropriate fit kit (this is what allows installation of the Flush Feet to the vehicle) are a perfect addition to a vehicle that does not have cross bars or as an alternative to the factory crossbars. The printed directions were easy to follow and the installation went well. While expensive, the quality and the fit and finish of the rack is worth it. The racks were installed on a 2021 Lexus RX.
