First, converse has a great return policy and I really do love the shoes. I love the look and style. I love that they make me taller too. BUT I don’t like the fit. I am usually a 6.5-7. I tried the 6.5 and my heel slipped out the back. I downsized to a 6 and my heel still slips out. I can’t go any smaller or the shoe will be tight elsewhere. It’s frustrating. My feet are normal width but these just aren’t tight enough around the heel, even with a heel insert. I’m keeping them, but I know I can’t wear them for long walking adventures.

The shoe itself is super cute and definitely brings lift. HOWEVER, I am normally a size 6.5W in Converse (normally a 7 in all other shoes). I ordered a half size down so size 6W and it was BIG. It slipped off from the back of my heel so I did an exchange and got a 5.5W. Put them on and they STILL slip off the back of my heel.. I got tired of doing the most for these shoes so I just bought rubber heel stickers so it doesn’t slip off my heel and I tie them pretty tight. Perhaps these types of shoes run bigger than the high tops. I have 7 other pairs all high tops and all 6.5W. Still cute and would purchase another low top lift pair now that I am aware.

I usually get regular low tops and have been for over thirty years. I decided to get the platforms for the summer because they are cute and go well with dresses as well as pants. These run a little big so I went went the suggested half size down, a full size down was too small but these were slightly too big. Nothing that would stop me from keeping them. I do however, dislike the laces. They are rather thin and I don't know if they will hold up so I just ordered a pair of standard low top laces to replace them. Overall a great shoe.

The look and feel is CT and better. I will love these all summer long. However the sizing is tricky and these do run large. Most reviews state this and advise to order down a 1/2 size. I’m a true 9. I ordered the 8.5 and I’m debating on getting the 8 to compare. The heel is slipping when I walk. I have tried multiple thicknesses of socks just to be certain and they continue to flip. I will return with a final verdict 👩‍⚖️
I had a hard time with the regular Converse but one day while I was walking through Nordstrom I noticed the platform version and gave it a try. I’d purchased the color white. They are very comfortable for the day while doing errands. My feet did not hurt at all. I love them so much that I recently purchased the black also. I did have to go down a whole size from my regular size.
Still breaking these in - definitely stiffer than the non-platforms. I sized down a half size based on recommendations and they are definitely right. The heel in these is also wider than my other Converse - I’m contemplating getting those heel liners to close the gap. Thick socks help. They look great, just getting used to the fit.
Size down a full size! I usually wear 6.5 and purchased that size initially. When I tried them on my foot was slipping out of the heel with every step I took (even with socks on). So I exchanged for 5.5 and my foot still slips out some. I had to tighten the laces as much as possible and I think it should be fine. I won’t really know until I walk around in them for the day. I’m really hoping they work out because they’re so cute and the sole is very cushioned, so I’m hoping they will be comfortable to walk around in all day.
Love this shoe. Runs a bit bigger in sizing though, I bought an 11 since that’s my usual size in a sneaker like these (ex: older pair of low Chuck Taylor’s & Vans) but unfortunately I will have to exchange these here, down sizing to a 10 most likely. The 11s were slipping off my heel when I was “test walking” on my carpet, with a sock! Such a cute shoe, looking forward to getting the right size & rocking these to work!
Absolutely love the look of these shoes with pants, shorts and sporty dresses. I greatly prefer Canvas to leather for the summer and the platform offers nice height. These shoes are a bit on the heavy side and while the soles are cushiony, they are also pretty inflexible. I do wish I’d followed the recommendation to go down a half size. I’m between a 6 1/2 and 7 so I stuck with 6 1/2 but definitely could’ve done a 6. I get some slippage in the back.
These shoes are SO cute, I love them…except that someone else obviously loved them first. Worn and scuffed soles, damaged box and packaging. This is the third Nordstrom order I have received that was damaged (my last order was a shirt that had sharpie marks all over it). Bummer. Will return and purchase elsewhere.
