What I like MOST about this product the SOLE reason why I purchased it is the fact that it is FREE of lead, other toxic heavy metals other toxins. You would honestly not believe what type of horrible, toxic, carcinogenic, endocrine disruptive substances/materials are in virtually ALL of the products we consume, use live around in our homes! It is very disheartening. I don’t understand why companies willingly deliberately put horrible toxins into our everyday items. Well, of course they do it solely for profit reasons. But it’s wrong sick. I imagine the people who produce these products would never use them themselves or allow their families or children to ever use them. Hydro flask does not fall into this category that’s why I’m an avid fan a lifetime customer! (As ... I do only use cold water/room temperature water in my Hydro flask. It is not known, at least I do not know from my research if warm beverages produce chemical leaching in Hydro flasks. But for me, that’s not a problem anyways because I purchased my Hydro flask solely to hold water. The ONLY issue I have with this 32 oz. bottle is the diameter of it. It is too large around to fit into any cupholder in any car. I needed a large water bottle, so the 20 ounce wouldn’t cut it. I’ll likely look into their single walled bottles to see if the diameter is smaller. If it isn’t, I imagine it would be able to hold more water, since I don’t need the bottle to maintain a particular temperature I’d prefer more water over less. If you want to educate yourself about lead, heavy metals other common toxins found in all our everyday household products I would check out lead free momma .com or just type lead free momma into Google the applicable site should be at the top. I used this site to begin my journey of attempting to eliminate toxins from my household… I’ll never fully succeed, but at least I can start by making sure all my future purchases are toxin free… at least to the point I can stand lol.

There are so many things to like about this water bottle: excellent portability, essentially spill proof (even for me!), keeps my ice water cold for hours, and it can go in the dishwasher (I won’t buy a water bottle that can’t go in there. The only downside is washing the cap. I knew I would need to handwash the straw as I do all of my reusable steel straws, but taking the cap apart to wash it decently is a “thing” for this neurospicy woman. I have to remember to pull out the red rubber thingy before I even start or I can’t get it out, then I have to scrub it with my dish brush, my straw brush, and this other funky little brush that fits in that tight space that screws onto the bottle itself. It may not seem like a “thing” for neurotypical folks, but that’s a lot ... This is my second 32oz Hydra Flask in less then a year. I have read stories about people running over their Hydra Flasks and they still keep their beverages cold. I am finding this hard to believe as I was using mine every day and as a sales rep was not abusing it at all. My issues were that in the course of using them I had accidently dropped them and there were small dents on the bottom of the bottle that seemed to have affected the ability of the bottle to keep beverages cold. Hydra Flask replaced the first bottle as I had it for about 2 years. The replacement bottle has lasted less then 3 months and it too has lost it's ability to keep my beverages cold. I purchased a new one at the REI 25% off sale and will be following up with Hydra Flask directly to see about ... MoreThis is my second 32oz Hydra Flask in less then a year. I HAD to have this when I saw the limited Sugar Crush design! I absolutely love it! I was completely sold when I saw the cream colored straw lid! The straw lid is easy to flip open with one hand and drink from! The bright, cheerful swirls of color are perfection! My granddaughters saw mine and each had to have one! The 32 oz is my favorite size water bottle, and the wide mouth is easiest for adding ice and water. To top it all off, there are NO LEAKS! The 32 oz even happens to fit in my car’s drink holder, although it doesn’t go all the way to the bottom—but it still stays secure. I became a fan of Hydro Flask, because of the lack of lead in their products, and now I’m OBSESSED!
I have a family so there are eight Hydroflasks in our house at any given time. We had never had any issues with them. The first time we did, I filled out the forms, did the self test and sent the bottle back in. They sent me a new one at no charge. Now, the bottle I returned had been everywhere from small trails in NC to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It kept ice in it for two days in 120 degree heat! Needless to say, It had some rough points. The Hydroflasks are made incredibly well and they stand behind their product. The service was amazing. The new bottle is incredible and ready for more adventures by my side. hanks for making a superior product!
I got the Lupine color on sale and think it's a great color, and the bottle is, of course, the great quality that I expect from Hydro Flask. I've always loved the old lids with the little circle in the back. It was an easy place to put my finger and hold the water bottle, and I find the new design very cumbersome. My hands aren't big enough and too weak to grip the bottle around the middle, and the new lid doesn't have a natural handhold. I like the strap but don't use it much and find it unnecessary. I appreciate the design (tall lid, red silicone stopper) but think it's too tall and bulky and I really don't like the red color showing through when the straw part is flipped up.
Not very happy with the quality. It seems things are being made cheaper these days. I’ve had a hydroflask since 2014 and bought this new one. Took it to work and accidentally dropped it one time and it put a bad dent in it. My other hydroflask I have is tough as nails and I’ve accidentally dropped them before and it never got a dent in them like that at all. It’s said the quality of things being made out there today aren’t like they use to be. Every thing is getting made cheaper and ppl are charged higher prices for them so companies are really making their money off of us stupid ppl buying it huh.
We bought this for our daughter for her birthday. She studied many brands of “expensive” water bottles and chose hydro flask. One week of school it slipped out of side pocket of back pack (in the school) and has two very large dents. I have never spent this much money on a water bottle for myself nor anyone else, but this is what she wanted for her birthday. A $45 water bottle should not sustain large dents with one drop, especially indoors. . I contacted hydro flask with situation. They offered for me to send the water bottle back (I pay shipping) and they would send us a $5 coupon to buy another one. What a joke! I will never buy another hydro flask. Do not recommend! Poor quality! DO NOT BUY! Waste of money
I don’t get the hype at all. I know these are supposed to be one of the best on the market but I don’t think I have ever bought a product I have disliked more than this thing especially for the price. I had a Takeya for years but lost it so I wanted to give this brand a try. What a mistake. It constantly leaks behind the spout at the top after taking a drink the first day I bought it (see photo of all the AZ hard water build up where it leaked constantly after only a couple months of use). It also makes a slurping sound if the straw isn’t in the absolutely perfect place when using ice. It’s not easy to screw on the top or open it and I’m not a small guy. There are far superior water bottles out there for the money. The absolute worst.
