Lancôme Idôle is pleasant modern fragrance. It lacks some of the complexity of luxury perfumes, perhaps because Idôle is strongly a feminine scent and designed to be worn alone (not layered). I appreciate Lancôme’s empowering message and how the bottles are designed to be refilled; that saves both one’s $$$ and the environment. I recommend keeping Idôle in mind if you enjoy feminine scents or looking for present for someone special.

Aura can fit the bill for all of those things, but I'd grab this over any of the other two if I was just wearing jeans and a t-shirt which is pretty much what I wear on a day to day basis. So while my favorite scent is the the original Idôle, I have to say I probably reached for Aura the most so far because it's the most casual. I think if I had more outings/events going on in my life, I'd lean more towards the other two. I will say I'm not really a fan of the bottle. The thinness doesn't bother me....it's the white part that's on the back of the perfume. In direct light looks lovely and ethereal, but when it's not hitting the light....it just looks like a white spray paint stripe across the bottle. Not my favorite.

There is a clean and crisp dryness to this perfume, like the warm salty air of a desert wind. I actually really enjoy the smell of this fragrance, as it is simple and doesn’t require any one specific personality to wear it. The olfactory trail mostly focuses on the salty rose essence as it cleans the air and paves the way for newfound clarity. The fragrance was inspired by the idea of each person realizing their fullest potential in order to make a lasting impact on the world. To me, this fragrance says “Get up! Your time is now!” A great mood-boosting perfume!

I prefer to use Lancome Idole Aura parfume only in summer. Top notes: Salt, Rose, and Bergamot; middle notes: Rose and Jasmine; base notes: Bourbon vanilla, Salt, Musk, and Heliotrope. I like the top notes - rich floral, sweet, and fresh. A very unusual combination of sweetness, salt, and freshness. It lifts the mood. When it gets quieter, it sits close to the skin, gentle, sweetish-floral. Fresh rose and sea breeze, a great combination for summer. The interesting design of the bottle looks beautiful in the perfume collection.

Cool Autumn vibes

My daughter & I love the Idole fragrance family. We were excited to hear about Aura & the scent didn't disappoint.Idole Aura reminds you of a beautiful & refreshing autumn morning! The scent begins with a warm salty vanilla, light musk that slowly accompanied by a crisp floral garden. On us, the scent remained about 8hrs.This Idole fragrance is different compared to the others in its family. Aura is packaged in a gorgeous rose gold bottle.

HEAVENLY...

What an angelic scent! Soft, subtle, sexy, and sensuous! A dab before work, before play, before bed; this divine scent follows me everywhere I go. My husband loves the clean and fresh scent that lingers where I have been. He is chemically sensitive to most scents, but is able to be around this fragrance for extended times. WE love it. The saintly fragrance is not overwhelming at my job, where I am around a ton of people all day. Thank you for this amazing scent!

Nice Alternative to La Vie Est Belle

My signature scent has been La Vie Est Belle for many years, however recently I've developed a reaction to it (headache) whenever I wear it. I was determined to find something similar but not too overpowering. Idole Aura is not the same scent, but it reminds me of it. It is much lighter, and has more creamy vanilla notes, but it is similar and is not too 'sweet' imo. Love it! The only downside is it is not very long lasting on me, so I do have to reapply after about 6 hours. Highly recommend you give it a try if you like LVEB.

I am absolutely gutted that Lancôme is discontinuing this fragrance! My first Idôle purchase was Idôle Nectar, and having fallen in love with that, I decided to buy Idôle Now and Idôle Aura. While both are lovely, Idôle Aura truly stands out to me for the combination of the salt, rose, and vanilla notes. It immediately reminds me of the beaches I’ve visited on family vacations, with almost a hint of sunscreen, combined with the signature fresh and sweet rose notes of the Idôle line. It’s an absolutely beautiful sunny, summery, warm-weather rose scent, but also perfect for those cold dreary days when you wish you could be at the beach.
