The Le Creuset braiser is hands down my favorite to cook with! Its high walled sides and wide base give me ample room to sauté, make a sauce, or braise meat. It is a bit heavy, as are most Le Creuset pieces, but it’s made with high quality materials. I find the enameled inside pretty easy to clean, even when I have burnt on bits. Just a note that you need to be careful not to use metal cooking tools or else you can scratch the enamel. We use our braiser multiple times a week! Lastly, I really love the Marseilles blue color! It’s stunning in person and really adds a nice pop to my kitchen!

This was a gift for my significant other.I received it a week or two before Christmas, and put it away. The packaging it arrived in spoiled the surprise of the gift a bit. Oh well.In a joking way, my girlfriend asked if she could open it prior to Christmas, to make sure it was not damaged.I was confident that it would be packed well enough. As I have seen how all other previous LeCrusset packages have arrived. She insisted that there are things to look for. But I decided to try and leave some surprise to this gift anyway. On Christmas morning, she was very excited about the new Agave Braiser. And of course, there was a small scratch on the lid.Hindsight is always 20/20 they say.I guess I should have had her check when it arrived. It is a few faint marks, but it ... MoreThis was a gift for my significant other.I received it a week or two before Christmas, and put it away. The colour of the bread oven, chambray, is so beautiful that I keep it on display on my kitchen counter, along with my brasier. Bake enough sourdough that I ordered it as a dedicated bread oven rather than using my dutch oven all then time, especially since I use my dutch oven almost daily for stews and soups. Chambray is my favourite colour, I now have the bread oven, skillet, trivet, mini round cocottes and the brasier. My dutch oven is blueberry, but that's only because the chambray colour wasn't available at the time of purchase. If I do buy a second dutch oven it will be in chambray too. Very pleased with my purchases.

Of course this Le Creuset pan did not disappoint! The only issue (and it was MAJOR for me) was that the pan was sent as a gift and a gift receipt was not included. Instead, an original receipt was included (with the price I paid). I sent this pan as a thank you to a woman who had kindly baked bread for me. I was mortified! I had completed Macy’s gift message and online procedure all for nothing. You are better off going directly to Le Creuset, to order as they frequently have a “gift with purchase” offering, which was the case in this instance. I did not see the option to send a gift through the Le Creuset site, so I opted for Macy’s. Next time, I will call Le Cresuset!
Excellent recommendation for a kitchen staple piece. Beyond the kettle this is my second Le Creuset purchase and I’m in love it. I’ve used it for pasta dishes, Spanish paella’s and searing meats thus far. A very versatile product that delivers on many fronts. Did I mention the food tastes phenomenally well? My only concern is the development of gray pinholes in the vessel unit. After each subsequent meal and cleanup I notice more of these, similar to developing blackheads on clear skin. I hope it will not worsen with time otherwise the unit will lose the clear white enamel finish.
This is a great baker. It bakes evenly all the way through the center. Found out through trial and error though, that you must pre-heat the baker or it won't bake evenly, so when baking, put it in the oven as it is pre-heating - that way it heats the baker up and then when the temperature comes to the right amount, it will be ready to bake your dough. ONE thing I don't like and maybe I have not perfected the baking process yet, but the dough won't stay round - it tends to spread through the pan and this does not work well when just trying to bake a loaf of bread. ANOTHER thing is it came with NO INSTRUCTIONS. Had to look online for others who have used it so figure out the best way to use it. I have been making bread with my almost 25 year old 5.5 quart LeCreuset dutch oven. Since I bake regularly, I wanted a dedicated vessel for bread. I decided on the LeCreuset bread oven because it has what I am looking for (durability, function, ease of use and storage). It is not a dutch oven, which is great because I don't need another dutch oven! Its low profile helps with the loading the dough and removing the bread. The lid is light enough to lift with one hand. It operates just like my dutch oven but better. I use parchment paper and bake in preheated vessel with temperature at 375. This combination yields excellent oven spring and no burning.I have used this bread oven to sauté/steam vegetables. Absolutely perfect! I used some discounts earned and splurged on this beautiful, but expensive piece. This is immediately one of my top three favorites in my Le Creuset collection. Though each one is excellent, the function, weight, depth, and superb quality of the Large Braiser in Cerise, is unmatched. I have other brands of similar size, but this one far exceeds the cooking performance of all the others. It is displayed in my kitchen like the prize that it is! Highly Recommended!
I have owned this Bread Oven in Shallot (love the color) for over 4 months now and have used it multiple times. I absolutely love it. The website has lots of recipes for this bread oven , in addition to bread, it is very versatile. It makes great bread. Their recipe suggests oiling the bottom and sides of the bottom, I do the rim and inside as well, and I also use a sheet of parchment on the bottom. Works beautifully. The recipe suggests using it with a cold oven and starting the timer when you put it in while the oven is even preheating. 50 min lid on, brown with lid off 5-10 min. I find my bread in the 50 min is gorgeous and only need a bit more about 3 - 4 minutes. I am very happy with this bread oven. Pricey, but it is worth it. And... love the color Shallot.
I got the 3.5 quart braiser at a good price, and have found that I have a ton of uses for it. I'm usually cooking for three, and a great many different recipes cook well in this pan. As with all Le Creuset pans, keep the heat fairly low to very low once it is up to temperature. After the meal, let it cool, then clean the pan out by rinsing first and then soak in soapy water for 10 or 20 minutes. After soaking, everything wipes out of it almost without effort. Soaking is always necessary with Le Creuset pans, although many new users don't realize that. I find this 3.5 qt size pan easy to handle and wash, it's not horribly heavy. I'm 75 and can deal with it easily although I'm always careful. Le Creuset pans are so wonderful, I wish I'd bought them decades ago.
